During a recent episode of “Hot Ones,” John Stamos admitted that he wasn’t initially impressed with the now-beloved sitcom “Full House” when he first started attending table readings.

“I hated the show,” Stamos said, adding that he “ended up loving it.”

The show was pitched as more of an adult series “with some kids in the background,” according to Stamos, however, that’s clearly not what it ended up being.

“We read the schedule about it, and I was the star coming from ‘General Hospital,'” the actor recalled. “Jodie Sweetin, who plays Stephanie, read her line, and the crowd was laughing, I mean screaming. I was like, ‘What’s going on here?'”

He continued, “They cannot hear my words. They laughed out loud at him,” which he says affected his confidence at the time.

Stamos said he eventually called his agent, demanding to be off the show, however, after back-and-forth, he finally agreed to keep it. “I fought for a long time,” he said. “And then I finally said, ‘What I did, it’s a beautiful show.’ We built it with sweetness and kindness. There’s no main character in the show, I’m aware. The main character is love.”

John Stamos has been open about his love and passion for Disney and the Disney Parks.

The “Fuller House” actor tends to visit Walt Disney World and Disneyland regularly, even Disney-bounding with his wife, Caitlin. Recently, the 60-year-old star revealed her must-have food from Walt Disney World.

When visiting Walt Disney World Resort, Stamos admits he always has to go to Disney’s Hollywood Studios and dine at The Hollywood Brown Derby Restaurant so he can get his all-time favorite — The Hollywood Brown Derby Cobb Salad.

According to Yahoo, Stamos stated:

“The last time I was there, they gave me a famous recipe. I managed to do it at home, but it didn’t match the real conditions and the atmosphere at the Brown Derby.”

Stamos’ obsession with the Brown Derby began when he had the chance to visit the original Brown Derby in Hollywood, CA, while he was on “General Hospital” at the age of 18. A Yahoo report states, “The original Brown Derby restaurant in Hollywood, CA, is also a movie star magnet, and it’s where Stamos got his first taste of the Cobb Salad, created by the restaurant’s OG owner”.

“When I was 18 and on General Hospital, executive producer Gloria Monty took me to the Brown Derby in Hollywood,” Stamos said according to Yahoo. “It’s a real giant chocolate derby! He took me there to try to convince me not to leave the ‘Big Hospital’.”
