The former Cheetah Girls member has definitely made a name for herself in the entertainment industry. In August of last year, Bailon’s joy grew when she and her husband, Israel Houghton, welcomed their son, Ever James, after dealing with fertility issues.

However, being a career woman and mother isn’t easy, even for Bailon’s big star. Recently, she revealed one of her struggles with motherhood, admitting she deals with mom guilt.

E! The news anchor wore her heart on her sleeve and opened up about being plagued by mom guilt. She shared an emotional reel on Instagram, and with a voiceover, she explained how she struggled with balancing her work life and her mother’s life. The clip contains an insight into the TV host’s work schedule and bonding time with her eleven-month-old son.

One part of the video shows the actor on set as he continues his hosting duties. Another scene from the footage shows Bailon playing with his toddler, who is laughing the entire time, apparently enjoying the moment.

As the scene unfolds, the “That’s So Raven” actress delivers her message in voiceover. She began with an emphatic declaration of her dedication to being a mother. “This working mom’s favorite job and title will forever and always be ‘Ever’s mom.'” Bailon declared.

She later went on to reveal how challenging her days are, trying to balance motherhood with work, stating that some days are good and others are not. “But honestly, there are other days when I’m just so tired, and I don’t feel like coming or going, juggling a bi-coastal life and running two companies.”

“And on days when guilt creeps in, and I’m so overwhelmed, I pause, and I’m reminded of my greatest blessing and answered prayer. My baby boy, he makes it all worth it. He is my reason; he is my motivation to get out of bed every morning.

Concluding her message, Bailon left a reminder for other mothers. “So, moms out there, you got this. You killed him.” The Daytime Emmy Award winner captioned the post, “mid-week reminder ? the mom guilt is real. i need this today,” before plugging her YouTube video where she details all about mom guilt.

Since Bailon welcomed her adorable son, she’s had a few motherly moments, which she candidly shares. The former Disney star previously shared her worst mom moment about being intimate with her partner while their son was with them.

“The worst thing about motherhood is going through it with a sleeping baby in the room, but you just do it,” shares the new mom, noting that the experience isn’t perfect. “It was fun at first… but now you’re like, ‘OK, this is getting awkward.”

‘Reality’ Host Gets Candid About Her Surrogacy Journey

The host of “The Real” has been open about her motherhood journey. In March, she detailed her fertility issues and surrogacy journey in an interview with TODAY. According to Bailon, the experience was not easy.

Bailon emphasized that during the IVF process, doctors can only get four eggs from her. “(We got) four eggs fertilized, so all four were biopsied,” Bailon said. “I bragged to the woman who combed my hair, like, ‘Today is the day I’ll find out! girl? man? What do I get?'”

However, the media personality’s hopes were dashed as doctors told him the process was unsuccessful. Despite being disappointed and angry, the former singer went ahead with the process and had the implant. Unfortunately, she miscarried five months after planning to reveal her pregnancy on a pre-taped episode of “The Masked Singer.”

After another failed implantation, Bailon said she had one more shot at becoming a mother because she only had “one more embryo.” At that point, her doctor asked her to consider surrogacy.

“I remember talking to my mom about it. She was like: ‘Why would you want someone else to hold your baby?’ That hit me,” he said. “I’m hysterical. I was like: ‘You don’t understand — this is my last resort. If I implant this child into my body and I miscarry, that’s my last chance.’

Deciding to continue the succession, the former singer spoke about his successor, describing him as “extraordinary.” Bailon went on to admit to feeling robbed of the pregnancy experience. Although the anger and sadness of the imagined experience disappeared, the TV sensation revealed that she can also create happy moments during IVF.
