Alyssa Milano Doubles Down On Slamming Critics Of Baseball Team GoFundMe

Alyssa Milano addressed fan backlash on social media after asking for donations for her son Milo’s baseball team’s trip from California to New York again.

The mother of two hit back at the criticism in a post on Thursday, sharing a screenshot of her baby boy replying to a user who commented live on one of her Instagram posts.

Alyssa Milano Is Not Shy To Ask For Crowdfunding For Her Son’s Baseball Team

Social media users are confused as to why Milano, a millionaire who starred on “Charmed” for six seasons, is asking her followers for money. In the screenshot mentioned above of Milo’s comment, he emphasized to one user that he is a child who loves his mother.

Alyssa Milano Breaks Silence On Baseball Team's ReactionMEGA

“You realize I’m only 12 years old, and I love my mother. My mother is the greatest human being of all time. He does everything for everyone,” he wrote to critics, who typed:

“I hope your mother who has a net worth of 10 million dollars is donated to a shelter???? ALSO knowing he has this money, he shouldn’t be asking middle income people from the community to donate to the baseball team. It’s ridiculous and self-centered. Talk to your mother.”

Following another comment from the same person stating that his mom “obviously has the funds to donate 10k to your own baseball team,” Milo replied, “Can you leave my page? I’m only 12.”

Milano’s defense of not losing the big bucks was expressed through his caption, where he claimed:

“As much as I would like to pay for the entire team and their families for travel, transportation, hotels, food and beverages, uniforms, trading pins and all the things that a team does for a trip like this – I can’t afford to do that. Maybe one day.”

Continuing the lengthy explanation, the film’s producer stated that if he did as people expected and paid for his son’s baseball team, “the trolls would find something offensive.”

“Regardless of how you feel about me, to go on my hard-working 12-year-old son’s Instagram page and leave a message like this is appalling. Leave the kids alone. Let them play baseball. If you are against donating – don’t donate,” he added before instructing them to donate via Milo’s biography.

Milano’s Instagram post is expected to bring her fans in droves, and many of them camped out in her comments to cheer her on.

While one wrote, “What the h—? Who bothers CHILDREN?? You’re doing a great mama, and have every right to fundraise for your kid’s team like any other mom does,” another agreed saying:

“If you pay for everything, people will say the kids are spoiled and should learn how to raise their own money. Even if you can afford it, it’s not fair that you’re expected to pay for everything.”

Likewise, a third fan shared, “Regardless of his net worth, he teaches his kids life skills, including hard work and responsibility.”

This isn’t the first time Milano has spoken about fundraising since its launch. The Blast noted that the “Mistresses” alum asked X to clarify that in addition to fundraising, she has contributed financially by covering uniforms, hosting parties and sponsoring children who cannot afford the monthly fees.

In case you missed it, the drama started after Milano shared a photo of her son’s baseball team on her X account. In the caption, the mother of two explained that the funds were for the team’s Cooperstown trip and expressed appreciation for any donations.

The caption also included a link for those interested in learning more or making a donation. Within minutes, several people had pointed out his millionaire status, with one specifically mentioning him.

“Honestly…WTF is this? Not only does she have money, her husband is one of the top agents in Hollywood. If you donate to this, you are i—t. Back to the real world,” they wrote.

Another critic pointed out, “Erm, Alyssa, honey. You are a millionaire. And I’m sure your son doesn’t play on a team based in the project,” as a third person declared, “Alyssa Milano is asking for donations for her son’s baseball trip. He is reportedly worth $10 million…. But wait, it gets better! Her husband is co-head of Creative Artists Agency, which manages dozens of the biggest names in Hollywood, sports & music.”

Amid heavy criticism, The Blast observed that Milano’s GoFundMe project is gaining significant traction, with the page revealing that more than 200 donations have been received. The donation resulted in $7,876 generated in the first 24 hours after the appeal.
