Amanda Bynes is still watching herself.
Over the years, the world has watched the once famous actor publicly go through his mental health struggles as he has a history of substance abuse and bipolar disorder. And while it hasn’t always been easy, his dedication to making decisions that help his cause has been his most important focus.
In his latest stint, the “She’s the Man” star has withdrawn from an outpatient program that allows him to receive treatment while living at home and checked into an inpatient facility.
Amanda Bynes Has Checked Herself Into an Inpatient Facility
According to new reports, Bynes checked herself into an intensive inpatient mental health treatment center in Orange County earlier last month, a week after she checked out of outpatient treatment facilities around Los Angeles.
TMZ’s source claims that the actress likes being around the medical team, therapists and other patients because it allows her to interact with other people instead of being alone in her home.

It also helps that the “What a Girl Wants” star receives a higher level of care at the center because she gets round-the-clock care in residential treatment. In addition, the 37-year-old participates in daily therapy sessions and activities to help him learn and develop skills he can use after leaving the center.
There is currently no set time frame for the actor to stay at the new facility, as his stay will depend on when he feels ready to leave and resume independent living. However, keep in mind that his parents know his location and support his decision.
While this isn’t the first time Bynes has voluntarily checked herself into a mental health facility, this time it happened after she called authorities to report she was in distress and felt she might harm herself on Monday, June 17.
The police responded to the situation with a mental health specialist who assessed the individual’s condition and concluded that he required placement on a psychiatric hold. Following this evaluation, the on-screen goddess “Sydney White” spent a period in a psychiatric facility, after which she transitioned to outpatient care.
Critics’ Choice Movie Award Winner Has Left Her Passion for Cosmetology & Fashion
Months after she was released from psychiatric custody, a report by The Blast revealed that Bynes was experiencing anxiety about her life situation. According to an article published in May, the former FIDM student struggled with feelings of sadness and isolation while living alone in his home during his ongoing recovery process.
Before the mental health break, the former entertainer pursued a career in cosmetology to become a nail technician. However, he has reportedly lost interest since leaving the hospital.

Upon hearing the updates and seeing the unpleasant headlines from the media outlets, many of his die-hard fans expressed that they were “very sad” and completely despondent. As one netizen tweeted later:
“I feel so sorry for this girl. He’s been used for fame and used for money… but never really loving or caring around him. Too bad ppl can’t spot fake ppl. I just want to hug her… hug Amanda.”
“Wow maybe you should leave him alone?” another fan suggested, and a third claimed, “This is a disgusting title.” A fourth said, “Omg this makes me so sad,” and a fifth exclaimed, “It’s sad!”
A source close to Amanda Bynes has finally provided some useful insight, stating that she may rediscover her passion for cosmetology and fashion in the future. At the time, they added that the former Nickelodeon star remained faithful to her treatment while regularly attending her outpatient therapy.
In the midst of the turmoil of the former “Amanda Show” star, it was revealed that she and her fiance, Paul Michael, had separated. As it turned out, they had split earlier this year, with those in her inner circle optimistic that he would not re-enter her life.
They insist that she was never a support for him during his recent mental health crisis and hospitalization. Because of this concern, they fear that if he re-enters his inner circle, he could have a potentially toxic influence on his recovery.
