Although short-lived, “The Talk” co-host’s romance with the late star began after they met on the set of “Bullets Over Broadway” in 2014. The 41-year-old played Cheech — a gangster and aspiring writer and Kloots was a dancer in the ensemble .

The two quickly struck up a friendship where they spent hours talking to each other after work. The “Waitress” cast finally proposed during one of their many trips to the Hudson Valley a few years later.

Although it’s not what she expected, the dancer is thrilled to “live happily ever after” with the man of her dreams. The memorable moment became even more intense after the “A Bronx Tale: The Musical” star passed away following a brief battle with COVID-19.

Her middle and fourth fingers are adorned with fancy gold rings, as she writes in a text overlay, “Having a little tribute manicure.”

Based on the flashback he recently shared about the day Cordero popped the life-changing question, the nail was the perfect tribute. According to the TV personality’s Instagram post on March 21, she was unaware of her intentions and couldn’t make an attempt to look “better.”

“Six years ago today Nick proposed to me in Hudson, NY and THIS was my manicure! ???? Obviously I didn’t know he was going to give me a ring,” quipped the “Good Vibrations” star in the caption.

The manicure, which is front and center in the photo accompanying the caption, features nude-colored nails with eyeballs painted on the bottom of each finger. Despite the setback, Kloots and his men looked happier as they stood close and smiled brightly at the camera.

The “Young Frankenstein” actor wore a gray sweater over a flannel shirt that matched his then-fiancé’s blue flannel shirt. For the engagement ring, Cordero chose a simple old band with a heart-shaped diamond.

As expected, the post touched the hearts of his fans, and they supported him in the comments section. One fan claimed that their romance “changed my whole life,” The second thanked the GlenOak High School alumni for sharing their love story.

A third user points out that a “bad manicure” makes memory “better.” A fourth person, who “never comments” on “celebrity posts,” was moved to say, “I’m so glad you experienced that kind of love with Nick! Your story moves me and every day you continue to be an example of not only perseverance but a way of living amazing and just living life in the best way!”

‘Fit For Christmas’ Star Gets Candid About Dealing With Grief

In January, The Blast noted that Kloots opened up about the public’s expectations of her grieving process, especially after her mother-in-law, Lesley, passed away. The fitness instructor revealed that a critic sent her a direct message asking her to stop dancing and focus on mourning Cordero’s parents.

Instead of responding directly to the troll, the Ohio native dropped a clip showing her — among a cross-section of others — taking choreography lessons from Ryan Heffington. Taking to the caption, she shared that she was scolded for “exercising and teaching fitness” the day after her mother-in-law’s passing.

After stressing that it wasn’t the first time strangers texted her “telling me I’m not grieving by their standards,” she educated critics on how she deals with grief through dance. The “Dancing with the Stars” contestant further explained what happened when she joined the dance class, writing:

“I put every emotion in me into every step – the grief from the loss, the build up from the previous week, the ptsd I had, the shock, the weight and weight of the trauma. I took them all and pulled them in front of a bunch of people I didn’t know. I don’t look in the mirror. I don’t judge myself. I just danced.”

Kloots concludes with a plea for the grieving to find what helps them and hold on to it, ignoring the judgment of outsiders.
