The cookbook author appeared on the now-cancelled talk show Meta in 2019. She, her mother-in-law, Sonya Curry, and sisters-in-law Sydel Curry-Lee and Callie Rivers-Curry appeared on the former Facebook Watch show and claimed to be “insecure” because men don’t hit it off like WAGS.
The comment got a lot of backlash and made the mother of three seem like she’s looking for another man’s attention when she has a successful and loving man right there with her. He claimed Insider that it is “taken out of context.”
Additionally, he claimed that the show was “Edited in a way that makes me sound crazy.”

The cook continued, “That’s not what I said, and the context is weird…I took it personally.” This incident prompted Curry to step back from the spotlight and focus on family.
“The media is a very cruel space… Celebrities are real people. All press is good press, but that’s not true about our emotions and our mental health…we’re all about protecting our peace.”
This was also said by his sister-in-law Red Table Talk discussion. He insists that the media is affecting his mental health.
Steph Curry Supports His Wife

When the statement hit the news, Golden State Warriors champion Steph wrote an open letter to his wife: “Proud of you for being authentic and putting yourself out there – not afraid of the potential bull s#*# and nonsense that can and does come to you. Since Curry shifted his focus, his career has been quite successful, and he has put together a number of business partnerships that have proven to be profitable. As for Pinkett-Smith and the Red Table Talk co-host, nothing was said about Curry’s statement.
