Biden shares story about talking with European leader who was dead at the time for THIRD time in a week

Same story, same result.

For the third time this week, President Biden told the audience that he discussed the January 6, 2021, riots at the US Capitol with European leaders who were actually dead at the time.

On Wednesday, Biden told Democratic donors in New York that he spoke about the riots with former German Chancellor Helmut Kohl, whose death preceded the event by nearly half a decade.

The shocking blunder came just days after the 81-year-old president confused French President Emmanuel Macron with the country’s former leader Francois Mitterrand – who died in 1996.

Biden made the mistake Wednesday in front of audiences at two separate fundraisers as he regaled donors with anecdotes about his first international trip as president — to the 2021 G-7 summit in Great Britain — after his 2020 election victory over former President Donald Trump.

“I showed up … and I sat down and said, ‘America is back,’ and [French President Emmanuel] Macron looked at me and said, ‘How long?’ How long? No joke,” Biden said, according to reports the president’s group stopped by the home of Maureen White, whose husband Steven Rattner manages the fortune of former Mayor Michael Bloomberg.

“Helmut Kohl said, ‘Joe, what would you think if you picked up the phone and picked up the paper tomorrow and found out in the London Times, on the front page, that 1,000 people stormed Parliament, broke down the doors of the House. Rakyat Rakyat and killed 2 bobbys in the process … trying to stop the election of the prime minister?’” he added.

Kohl, who served as German chancellor from 1982 to 1998, died in 2017 – almost four years before the 2021 G7 summit.

Angela Merkel was the German chancellor at the time of the gathering of world leaders to which Biden was referring.

About 50 guests, including actor Robert De Niro, witnessed the incident.

Biden also referenced “Helmut Kohl from Germany” while telling a similar anecdote during a stop at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel near Columbus Circle, for an event hosted by Dr. Ramon Tallaj, chairman of SOMOS Community Care and member of Mayor Eric Adams’ COVID-19 recovery task force.

The president came across a similar story on Sunday in Las Vegas, with the only difference being that he called on Mitterrand, instead of Kohl, to present him with a hypothesis.

“It’s in the south of England. And I sat down and I said, ‘America is back,’ and Mitterrand from Germany, I mean from France, looked at me and said – said, ‘You know what – why – how long have you been back?'” Biden said in a campaign speech the said.

Mitterrand served two terms as president between 1981 and 1995. He died on January 8, 1996 at the age of 79.

Biden’s latest blunder is one of many verbal blunders he has made since taking office, which has fueled concerns about his mental acuity as he seeks a second term.

In one of his most famous verbal gaffes, Biden sought out Rep. Indiana Jackie Walorski at a White House event held eight weeks after her high-profile death.

“Deputy Jackie — are you here? Where’s Jackie?” asked the president from the podium during the October 2022 ceremony. “I thought he would be here.”

The offense came after Biden had issued a lengthy statement mourning Walorski’s death.

Already the oldest president in US history, Biden will be 86 by the end of his second term, if re-elected.
