The tell-all book touches on everything from his conservatorship, his relationship with his estranged family, his high-profile relationships and his career. While the event will forever be part of her life story, the 41-year-old pop star is looking for a clean slate moving forward.

On Wednesday evening, the “Toxic” singer reflected on the good and the bad in her memoir “The Woman In Me.” While many of the “sad stories” in the book have made headlines, he wants to make sure fans know that there are also “beautiful and good stories” in his book as well.
“My book has a lot of sad stories and drama in it… I’m sure some are aware of that but just know there are many other beautiful and good stories in #TheWomanInMe but that’s not what the media decides to take all the time!!! It is what it is … so going forward just know that that was me then … that was the past and this is me now !!!” he wrote. “To good things and a little bad too ???♀️? !!!”
Britney attached the message to an Instagram post that included two snaps back to her “Overprotected” music video, directed by Chris Applebaum. “Psss flashback to when they wanted me in my pajamas for the Too Covered video but I said … please that’s too sweet, give me some d— clothes ??? !!!” he added.
Britney Hopes for a ‘Clean Slate’ After Her Memoir Releases
On October 20, the “Gimme More” singer took to Instagram to announce that she didn’t like the headlines she read about her book four days before its initial release. He reminded his fans that he never meant to “offend anyone” with his story and insisted that he had “moved on” from some of the events he described in his book.
“The purpose of my book is not to offend anyone in any way !!! That was me then … that was the past!!!” he started “I don’t like the headlines I read…that’s why I quit the business 4 years ago!!! Most of the books are from 20 years ago … I’ve moved and it’s a pretty clean slate from here!!!”
“I’m here to set it that way for the rest of my life!!!” he continued. “Anyway, that was the last one and s— happened !! This is actually a book that didn’t know to write … although some may be offended, it has given me closure on all things for a better future !!!”
“Hopefully I can enlighten people who feel alone in most cases or hurt or misunderstood !!! Again, my motive for this book is not to quote my past experiences that the press did and it was stupid and stupid!!!” he concluded. “I’ve since moved on !! #TheWomaninMe.”
Is Britney Spears Writing A Sequel To ‘The Woman In Me’?
The Pop princess has hinted that she plans to release a new memoir in two since-deleted Instagram posts, even saying she wants to release it next year. The focus of the new book will revolve around her relationship with actor Sam Asghari.
While Britney had nothing but positive things to say about the “Special Ops: Lioness” actress in “The Woman In Me” — even going so far as to call her “a gift from God” — it seems she had more to say on the subject since the 29-year-old actress filed for divorce on August 16, 2023. The divorce filing came after Britney had already signed off on the final draft of the memoir, according to reports.
Although Britney wanted to share more about the rift in their relationship, she had no intention of dissing her ex. “Britney doesn’t want to go after Sam,” a source told Us Weekly. “He just wants to [to talk about] why did the relationship break up.”
Even though their relationship “broke off,” fans still hope that the two will get back together. This news comes in the midst of a court warning the former couple to make a move on their divorce … or it might not happen!
