Britney Spears is back on Instagram with another video, and this one is meant to make viewers feel “a little awkward,” as the 41-year-old pop star admits.
Playing Eartha Kitt’s “Santa Baby” in the background, Spears also appeared to make a reference to Jared Leto, and fans were left confused, as usual. Scroll down for the video.

The video begins with Britney Spears greeting her audience with “Hi guys”, and then saying “30 seconds to Mars.”
For the non-Leto fans here, “Thirty Seconds to Mars”, or “30 Seconds to Mars” is an American rock band from Los Angeles, California, formed in 1998. Jared Leto is lead vocals, guitar, bass and keyboards, while his brother Shannon Leto plays drums and percussion. Throughout its existence, it has gone through various lineup changes.
The group’s first album was eponymous, and the last one was released in 2018, called “America.” In August this year, the group also announced a 20th anniversary version to commemorate its debut album aka. “30 seconds to Mars.”
What’s confusing is the reference here, since all Britney does in the video is twirl around in front of a Christmas tree in a red cat outfit, in a rather sexualized pose.
Also, he did this to “Santa Baby” by Eartha Kitt but has nothing to do with “30 Seconds to Mars”, or Jared Leto.

In the caption of the video, Britney wrote, “30 sec to mars !!! Yes, it’s my b-day all week and I know my Instagram has been down a few times but honestly, I did the last two by myself!!! Oops … I pressed the wrong button … damn that stupid button?”
Fans and trolls weren’t buying it, as one comment read: “Yeah, that damn button they ask you to confirm like 100x and enter a password etc before you can actually deactivate your account?”
Another Instagram user thought they knew what was going on, “This is an old video! And you can’t delete your account accidentally. The need to explain everything is why I don’t think this is him. Why always record in the same room, same house? He is a prisoner and we need to stop being naive about this.”
But many others supported it as well, with comments like:
“It’s like you all WANT her to be sick or something and it’s weird. Leave her alone and let her handle her social media the way she wants. He’s not in danger, he just doesn’t OWE anything because he HAD to give it away for so long. Leave him alone, say nice things and stop making up weird narratives because you’re bored.”

As one fan said, “It’s like all these people are saying “who is this, where’s Britney?” Have you ever watched her old interviews, THIS is just Britney… She’s always goofy, always speaks in riddles, and always an entertainer.
