While fans can’t wait to get their hands on Britney’s upcoming bestseller, there’s at least one person who has expressed no interest in reading it at all. Early Friday morning, a source told TMZ that Britney’s estranged father, Jamie Spears, had no plans to read what the pop star wrote about him in her new book.
Sources told the outlet that the 71-year-old entrepreneur already knew his estranged daughter had nothing positive to say about him in her book after reading what she had to say about him on social media.

“I’m sorry I’ll never forget because of the pain and the difference outside of my head clearly moving my legs … it’s only been 10 months since the conservatory ended … I wouldn’t wish that kind of pain on anyone !!! ” Britney wrote at the time.
“It’s very hard for me to accept the fact that my family did that to me … it will be hard for me for the rest of my life ? … for my Mom and Dad who sat and hid coffee from me at home to wake me up from death and fear like an old woman … and dump me … I’ll say it loud and proud … I pray you both burn in the h—,” he added.
The MEGA Princess of Pop has had a difficult relationship with her father after he controlled her personal and financial affairs during a controversial 13-year conservatorship, which began in February 2008 following her public mental health issues.
The conservatorship was finally revoked by a judge in November 2021, two months after the pop star got engaged to actor Sam Asghari. Although the two tied the knot a few months later in June 2022, the “Special Ops: Lioness” actress filed for divorce on Aug. 16 citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the split, according to court documents obtained by The Blast.
