The redhead wasn’t surprised when the conversation about her weight was brought up. She had felt pressured in the past by some of her superiors to lose weight even when she was at her thinnest.

He was even more surprised that Trevorrow was so willing to defend him when that had never happened before. “[I’ve] have been asked not to use my natural body in the cinema,” he said.

“On the third film, it was actually because there were so many female actors, it was something that Colin felt very strongly about in terms of protecting me … because the conversation came up again, ‘We need to get Bryce to lose weight.’ “

One of the arguments the director uses when he wants to hit the actress is that all women are made differently. “[Colin] like, ‘There are many types of women on this planet and there are many types of women in our movies,'” she said.

There is even a big benefit for him to be curvier. “I had to do so many stunts that wouldn’t have happened if I was on a diet.”

He kept bragging about the stunts he had to do. “I am very excited [at] all the actions I have to do, and I have to do them with my body, he’s at his maximum strength, and I hope it’s just another indication of what’s possible.”

Jurassic World: Dominion Is Controversial

The film has some behind-the-scenes kinks that don’t sit well with women in the industry including a significant pay gap from co-star Chris Pratt. Diversity claiming he earned $8 million when, Pratt earned $10 million.

“When I started negotiating for ‘Jurassic,’ it was 2014 and it was a different world, and I was at a huge disadvantage,” he claims. “Unfortunately, you have to sign up for three films and your offer is set.” So he kind of humbled himself in a sense.

However, Pratt always supported him in the new negotiations.

“Whenever there was an opportunity to move the needle on something that hadn’t been negotiated, like a game or a ride, he literally told me: ‘You don’t have to do anything. I will do all the negotiating. We’ll get paid the same, and you don’t have to think about this, Bryce.’”

Howard appreciated that because that’s where the big money comes from. “I got paid more for that kind of thing than I ever got for the movie.”

Weight Is Still An Issue In Hollywood

The actress is not alone in her quest to even things out, many people in the industry continue to be shamed for their weight. Lizzo was just verbally attacked by comedian Aries Spears, an unprovoked comment about the “Truth Hurts” singer’s “unhealthy” weight.

She begged her friends and family not to encourage her to love her body because it wasn’t healthy. Meanwhile, fans were quick to point out that he was no prize. Other stars like Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, Bebe Rexha, and more have had to shut down haters for commenting on their natural bodies.

Will it end?
