Contrary to viral speculation about her relationship with Jamie Foxx, Cameron Diaz says she is “excited” to work with him in their upcoming film, “Back In Action.”
The “Charlie’s Angels” actress has finally opened up about the couple’s alleged rift months after sources claimed she was quitting acting for a second time because of Foxx. He vehemently denied these allegations, voicing his frustration and anger at the spreaders of these rumours.

The most viral narrative claimed that Diaz regretted her decision to return to acting because of her co-star’s erratic behavior. The report claims Foxx’s “crazy” behavior drove him to the point where he declared he would “never do another movie.”
The rumors began after Foxx suffered a medical emergency in April while filming “Back In Action.” Despite the negative impact on the actor’s image, Diaz claims he refuses to deal with the situation, but his calm demeanor only fuels his anger at his critics.
She aired her frustration on a recent appearance on Molly Sims’ Lipstick on the Rim podcast, telling the host the rumors made her want to “scream at the top of her lungs, like, ‘What are you talking about?'”

The 51-year-old defended Foxx, saying he was a “professional on every level” and that he had “a lot of fun” working with him on their upcoming film. In her words: “Jamie was, like, the cheerleader for the whole crew. Everyone loved her.”
As for why the “Django Unchained” star chose to remain silent, Diaz said she can’t speak for him. However, he recalled their conversation, saying he was “very classy” about it. In his words:
“He was like, ‘No. Just leave them alone [talk]. We know the truth.’ However, it really pissed me off.”
Also, the blonde entertainer confirmed the film’s production was not a smooth ride. Luckily, the issue wasn’t as dramatic as the rumours, with Diaz insisting it was just “a natural thing that happened.” He added:
“Nothing is delayed except, obviously, towards the end. And that’s something that’s not my place to talk about.”
Dealing with production issues is one of the many things he refuses to talk about. When asked about Foxx’s health scare, the mother of one didn’t share anything except to say her co-star is “thriving” following the incident.

“One day they were working together, and the next he was just gone,” the insider said of Foxx, who reportedly had a health crisis off set. The informant stated Diaz was unable to support his old friend because his family refused to divulge information about his medical emergency.
“She wants to support and help in any way she can, but her family has kept her status a secret,” the source continued, noting she was “shocked and saddened” by Foxx’s health crisis. In addition to starring in various films together, the two were so close that Diaz came out of retirement for the actor.
The “Bad Teacher” actress left the industry in 2014 after starring in the remake of the musical “Annie” with Foxx. Almost a decade later, the latter convinced him to take part in the Netflix film. However, it may be a one-time deal.
During an appearance on “The Tonight Show” in September, Diaz told host Jimmy Fallon that she was nervous and excited to return to the big screen in “Back in Action.” He admits that it is not difficult to regain his acting muscles; however, it is not the same as the old days.
“It’s a bit of muscle memory, you know what I mean?” he explained. “I did that for so long, it was like the process, I kind of fell back. But it feels a little different.”
Although acting didn’t feel the same for Diaz, she said it would be great to reunite with Foxx in the upcoming film. “The last film I did was Annie with Jamie, so the first film back is this film with Jamie,” he raved, adding:
“He’s so great, he’s so easy, he’s so professional, he’s so talented, and just great to work with. It’s going to be a lot of fun.”
