Carrie Underwood NOT A Fan Of Singers Who ‘Can’t Hit The Notes’ Live

Grammy winner Carrie Underwood has slammed singers who have trouble singing high notes during their performances.

The singer rose to fame after winning the 2005 season of American Idol. She is known for her powerful vocals, which have captivated her fans for years.

Underwood revealed in a recent interview that she lost respect for some of her favorite artists after watching them perform live or on TV and seeing that they didn’t deliver the same level as seen in their potential recorded songs.

The “Jesus, Take The Wheel” singer later revealed that she always focuses on her vocals to make sure her vocals are perfect.

Talk with rolling stone, Underwood reflects on her childhood and talks about the musicians she admired. The singer, however, admitted that he no longer felt the same way about some of them after watching them perform live and couldn’t match their recorded performances.

“Growing up and going to concerts or seeing my favorite artists on TV, if they don’t sound like they’re supposed to sound, it’s always deflating. I will lose all respect for them,” the 39-year-old told the publication.

The eight-time Grammy Award winner didn’t specifically name any artists who didn’t live up to his initial expectations, but he seemed to imply that if they couldn’t perform a certain song live, they shouldn’t have recorded it.

He added, “Or when I go to a concert and hear them drop a key, I’m like, ‘You can’t hit a note! Why would you record it if you can’t sing it?’ That’s important to me.”

Underwood first made a name for herself when she came out on top on American Idol 2005. Since then, she has recorded several classics, including “Before He Cheats,” “Cry Pretty,” “Jesus, Take the Wheel” and “Cowboy Casanova.”

He became the first solo country singer in the 2000s to score a number one hit on the Hot 100 thanks to his song “Inside Your Heaven,” which also made him the first country artist to debut at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Since then, he has sold more than 70 million records worldwide and won many awards and other honors.

Clearly, Underwood’s singing has left a certain impression on the hearts of her listeners, and she attributes her success to her love of singing and her commitment to consistently delivering stellar vocals, off or on stage.

“I love to sing, and I’ve always been proud of the work I put into my vocals,” she told the publication. “I want to sound good.”

Elsewhere in her interview, Underwood shared that Guns N’ Roses frontman Axl Rose was one of the artists who inspired her to sing the way she does.

“The way I learned to sing was that I would pick a very difficult vocalist to try to emulate, and her voice always blew me away,” Underwood said of Rose, per Rolling stones. “I was like, ‘How does he do the things he does?'”

Underwood also revealed that it was a lifelong dream of hers to work with Rose. That dream came true in May when they performed “Sweet Child O’ Mine” and “Heaven City” at the Stagecoach festival in Indio, Calif.

“It’s been years in the making,” he said. “I emailed him and said, ‘We’re very close to you,’ and explained … what he meant to me,” he said. “And he came! We had a rehearsal, and everything went well. It’s easy for us all to be around each other. Hopefully, he has a good time.”

Carrie Underwood Appreciates Her Kids For Attending Her Concert

Underwood’s career has spanned nearly two decades since she signed her first recording contract after winning her stint on America Idol. In the meantime, he has no plans to retire and recently took part in his first performance on the Denim and Rhinestones Tour.

Seated in the audience were his two sons, Isaiah, 7, and Jacob, 3, who were welcomed with retired hockey player Mike Fisher. The singer then took to Instagram to tell them to attend his live performance.

“Someone blew me a kiss… someone was sound asleep,” the singer wrote in a clip she posted on the page.

She captioned the post: “My sweet boys came to see their mom’s first show! Jakey caught a few songs, at least, before he drifted off into dreamland…”
