Drew Barrymore had fun on her show with the famous “Corn Kid” on TikTok, whose real name is Tariq. Tariq has been making the rounds lately from being named the “Corn-Bassador” of South Dakota to helping Chipotle sell more corn and everything in between. While hanging out with Barrymore and Ross Matthews on “Drew’s news desk,” the trio had fun trying out different varieties of corn to get a corn expert’s opinion.

Trio Try Unique Drinks And Desserts
First, they tried corn soda. But before they take a sip, Tariq says he wants to make a toast. When Matthews asked Tariq what he thought of the uniquely flavored soda, he said, “Honestly,” and gave a thumbs up. Next up is dessert corn (bet you didn’t know that was a thing), which is corn on the cob with Nutella and sprinkles on top. The three tried the dessert corn and Tariq gave his honest review saying, “this is the best corn I’ve ever had in my life” and gave it two thumbs up.

Barrymore then introduced Tariq to something he had never tried before – baby corn. But first, he educated her in the scene in the Tom Hanks classic “Big” where Hanks eats baby corn like corn on the cob. Tariq takes a taste of the mini and says, “it tastes like rainwater” to which Barrymore replies, “where you’ve been all my life, I love rain.”

Barrymore Posts Episode Preview On TikTok
A day before Tariq’s corn-munching fun on Barrymore’s show, he posted a teaser video on TikTok with the caption, “For me, I really like Tariq, and I’m so excited that he’s going to be on the @thedrewbarrymoreshow this week!!”
Viewers of the video raved about his moment in the TV spotlight commenting, “The corn kid is living his best life right now and I’m here for it all! ?????” “I love how the internet came together in her support,” “I literally cried. I love her so much. She has brought us all so much joy and she 100% deserves this!!!” and many more supportive comments. The Drew Barrymore Show’s TikTok page commented, “Name a more iconic duo! ?,” and SONIC Drive-In wrote, “little pat on the back ?.”

Tariq Was Recently Interviewed On “Entertainment Tonight”
The Barrymore show wasn’t the first time Tariq had heard the name Tom Hanks. Just days before his tour of the show, the cornbread was interviewed by “Entertainment Tonight” on the red carpet at the Hollywood premiere of the live-action “Pinocchio” remake. When asked if he was excited to meet Tom Hanks tonight, Tariq replied very innocently, “Who is Tom Hanks?”

Tariq Now Has His Own TikTok Page
