“Persuasion” star Dakota Johnson recently quipped about almost being another woman Armie Hammer “tried to eat.” The rant comes almost a year after the actor was accused by a woman named Effie of brutal rape and several incidents of abuse in their relationship.
The two reportedly met on Facebook in 2016 and dated for four years after that. Although Hammer vehemently denies the accusation, Effie claims it was so bad that she thought about killing herself. The actor was also accused of abuse and inflicting bodily harm on his partner by his ex-girlfriend.

Dakota Johnson Makes Cannibalism Joke About Armie Hammer

On Thursday, Johnson gave celebrities a taste of his comedic side at Opening Night: A Taste of Sundance, presented by IMDbPro. While congratulating Luca Guadagnino, director of “Call Me By Your Name,” the actor joked about Hammer, who starred in the film. Guadagnino was given the Sundance Institute’s International Icon Award.
Johnson revealed, per Page Six, that he was almost cast in the film as an iconic peach; however, he had to bail due to their conflicting schedules. “Unfortunately, I did not enter [‘CMBYN’]. Luca had asked me to play the peach role, but our schedules conflicted,” he said. “But, thank God, because I’m going to be another woman that Armie Hammer tries to eat.”
In a particularly raunchy scene in “Call Me By Your Name,” Hammer nearly eats a peach that Timothy Chalamet’s character, Elio, has sexually used. The scene is one of the standout parts of the critically acclaimed film.
Johnson’s joke got only a few laughs and applause at first; however, as more people seem to get the joke, more cheers and applause are heard in the crowd. The actor added, referring to Guadagnino’s “Bones and All,” “Who knew cannibalism was so popular?”
Armie Hammer Accused Of Rape And Abuse

In March 2021, “The Social Network” star Hammer was accused of violent rape and several incidents of “mental, emotional and sexual” abuse during their four years together. The accuser, who only gave her first name, Effie, was in a relationship with the actress from 2016 to 2020.
While talking about the incident, she claimed that she feared for her life when the actor became “more and more violent.” “I thought he was going to kill me,” Effie said Page Six.
Recalling the alleged rape incident that took place on April 24, 2017, Effie said that Hammer had “repeatedly slammed my face into the wall,” leaving her bruised and beaten. He added that he “lost interest in life” and “just wanted the pain to stop.”
He Denies the Allegation

Hammer has denied every accusation leveled against him by Effie, stating that their interactions all along were completely consensual. The statement read, “From day one, Mr. Hammer has maintained that all his interactions with [Effie] — and every other sexual partner for that matter — has been fully consented, discussed and agreed upon in advance, and mutually participated.”
It continued, “[Effie’s] attention-seeking and ill-informed legal bids will only make it harder for real victims of sexual violence to get the justice they deserve.”
In addition to Effie, Hammer’s ex-girlfriends Courtney Vucekovich and Paige Lorenze have accused him of various forms of abuse. Talk with Page Six in January 2021, Flashd’s owner, Vucekovich, claimed that during their relationship, the actor would tell him that he wanted to “roast and eat him”.
“He said to me he wanted to break my ribs and barbecue and eat them,” Vucekovich recalled. “’F**k that’s weird,’ but you never think about it anymore. He said, ‘I want to eat some of you.’ If my hand has a little wound, he likes to suck or lick it. That’s as weird as we get.”
Armie Hammer Allegedly Branded His Ex-Girlfriend

Hammer’s ex-girlfriend, Lorenze, also accused the actor of abuse. follow Page Six, she claims that Hammer used a knife to carve the letter “A” on her thigh. The patch of skin appears to be located close to her vagina and the actress regularly uses her bruises as a means of branding.
Lorenze said Hammer wanted her to be proud of the sign and didn’t want her to see anyone else, “He wanted me to show them off and be proud of them. I said, ‘How am I supposed to look at other people when I have bruises?’ He said, ‘That’s what it means.’ I think it’s part of tagging and branding.”
The actor is currently being investigated by the LAPD and has been in hiding since news of his activities broke. He is reportedly in the Cayman Islands, the same place Elizabeth Chambers, his estranged wife, and their two children live.
