Demi lost her father, Barrie Mawby, at the end of 2018 and then her mother, Christine, in June 2019. At the time, the influencer was only 24 years old.

In particular, I found reading things like ‘Many Lives, Many Masters’ by Brian Weiss made me believe in the purpose of life and taught me about how you deal with trauma. The suicide rate is sky high, and when you feel like you have nothing to live for, quitting is not an easy road. I saw my own situation as part of life’s plan and through small steps, managed to try and get my life back on track as best I could.”
