According to reports, all of Lanez’s food was brought to his cell, and his diet consisted of bologna sandwiches and hard-boiled eggs. The rapper was recently sentenced to 10 years for shooting Megan Thee Stallion in July 2020.

Lanez recently began his time in state prison after being sentenced to 10 years on gun charges. The “Hurts Me” singer was convicted of shooting rapper Megan Thee Stallion in both legs after a party at Kylie Jenner’s house in July 2020.
Lanez’s convictions include assault with a semi-automatic firearm, carrying a loaded and unregistered handgun, and discharging a firearm with gross negligence. He will likely spend three to six months in state prison before being transferred to a long-term federal facility for the rest of his sentence.
Authorities have yet to decide what length of prison Lanez will serve his sentence on. Despite being sentenced to 10 years, Judge David Herriford reportedly gave the “The Color Violet” rapper 305 days credit for time already served. This shortened his sentence by almost a year.

Many social media users criticized Lanez and his appearance on Twitter and Instagram, saying he appeared “feelless.” One Twitter user wrote, “Her hair looks like mine under my wig,” and another commented, “They did her dirty with wig glue visible.”
Another social media user wrote, “At least that under-the-salary hairline works.” A viral comment on the mugshot read, “She needs to stick her front down. I’m surprised they let him keep the Toupee.”
He Was Denied Bail During His Appeal

Lanez is now appealing the shooting conviction and 10-year sentence. He asked Judge Herriford to release him on bail while his team works on the appeal so he can live with his wife and son.
However, Judge Herriford denied Lanez’s motion in a recent hearing, citing his history with violent crime convictions. The judge also noted that the “In For It” rapper has a history of violating court orders.
Shortly before his sentence was announced, Lanez took to Instagram to apologize for his violent actions. However, he retracted the apology and said he was only responsible for his “verbal and intimate moments” with the affected parties.
He wrote, “I am in no way apologetic for the charges I was wrongfully convicted of. I stand by the stance that I refuse to apologize for something I didn’t do.” Lanez insisted to his followers and fans that he will continue to fight until he “wins”.
