“When I got to LA in the ’80s, I started sleeping with my makeup on, partly because of the earthquake. I thought, ‘I’m not going out on the street without makeup if there’s a camera out there! I’ll be ready to go! ‘”

“It doesn’t matter if you wash your face as long as you clean it once a day. After I wake up, I do all the little rituals, and then I start over and go out every day and look good all day,” the singer-songwriter defended her choice, noting she did the same routine around her longtime husband, Carl Thomas Dean.
“This happened back home in Tennessee, too. I don’t want to go to bed looking like a hag with Carl,” declared the doting wife. While not wanting to be caught without makeup, the “I Will Always Love You” singer admitted she would rock his natural face in certain situations.
In a recent interview, the Tennessee sensation was asked what it would take for her to leave the house without makeup. In response, Parton jokingly declared: “Death! You only have to see me lying on a stretcher.”
After seriously considering the question, the 11-time Grammy winner admitted, “If my husband is sick, or if there’s an emergency, of course I will [leave the house without makeup].” The 77-year-old added, “If I get busted for a bad tag or whatever, I don’t want the mugshot to look like some of the stars I’ve seen.”
Reiterating her decision to always look her best outdoors, the blonde beauty insisted, “I’ll clean up a bit if I go out unless there’s an absolute emergency, and it has to be pretty serious. I’ll do it later, but it’s the only way.”

“I hate exercise like I hate school. I take care of my diet as much as possible. I try and do low carb, but if I see something I want to eat, I eat it, because I’m a pig at heart. But exercise, I hate, hate, hate. I just did my diddly squats.”
Although she doesn’t like to exercise, the “Just Because I’m a Woman” singer keeps herself busy with her music activities. In July, the Daughters of the American Revolution honoree declared she won’t be leaving the spotlight anytime soon.
During an appearance on Greatest Hits Radio, Parton stated she was “not going to retire” from music despite her advanced age. Instead of leaving the industry, the icon hopes he’ll “die in the middle of a song on stage one day.”
Although he does not want to retire, the entertainer cannot deny the effects of time on his body. According to the 77-year-old, she will no longer be touring but “will continue to do special shows here and there, like long weekends or festival shows.” Parton added:
“You have to go so long on tour to make it productive and prosperous, and that’s a lot of time at my age – I don’t have time to waste.”
