Donald Trump has taken to social media to lash out at the judge in his New York civil fraud case after paying a $175 million bond.
Trump was ordered to pay nearly $355 million in penalties plus nearly $100 million in interest after Judge Arthur Engoron found him guilty of lying about his wealth to get a lucrative loan offer.
He faces possible asset forfeiture after he delayed paying a $454 million penalty before a judge agreed to reduce the amount needed to stop enforcement of the judgment.

The former president used the Truth Social platform to lash out at the judge presiding over his civil fraud case in New York after he posted a $175 million bond.
“I just posted a 175 Million Dollar Bond with the State of New York that failed and was very problematic, based on Corrupt Judges and Attorney Generals who used a Statute that had never been used for this before, where no Jury was allowed, I financial statements are conservative and have 100% caution/independence clause, no victims (except me!), no crime or damage, only success and HAPPY BANK,” Trump wrote, per News Week.
Knight Specialty Insurance Company posted a $175 million bond, which Trump must meet on Thursday.

Former President Faced With Huge $454 Million Fine
MEGA
It comes after Trump was found guilty of inflating his net worth to obtain more lucrative business loans in a civil fraud case brought against him and the Trump organization by New York Attorney General Letitia James.
The penalty accrued to more than $450 million with interest as he faced a deadline to pay or risk forfeiture of his assets. According to reports, Trump is having difficulty paying the huge amount, with more than 30 guarantor entities rejecting his request for the bond’s coverage.
In a subsequent filing with a New York appeals court last week, the former president’s legal team asked that he be allowed to post a smaller amount for the appeal bond, calling the full amount a “practical impossibility.”

He was given a reprieve because the court granted his motion to pay a smaller amount to start the appeals process and prevent the seizure of his assets.
“We will abide by the decision of the Appellate Division and post either bonds, equivalent securities, or cash,” Trump wrote on the Truth Social platform in response to the ruling in his favor.
He added, “This also shows how ridiculous and outrageous it is [Judge Arthur] Engoron’s original decision was at $450 Million. I DID NO WRONG, AND NEW YORK SHOULD NOT BE PUT IN THIS POSITION AGAIN. AGAIN, VIOLENT CRIME IS GROWING, AND IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT THIS BE SOLVED AS A WHOLE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. THANK YOU!”

In addition to the King James Version, it contains copies of the US Constitution, the Bill of Rights, the Declaration of Independence and the Pledge of Allegiance. It also features the handwritten chorus of Greenwood’s famous song.
The move came amid reports of a cash crunch, mainly due to his mounting legal bills and his inability to pay a $454 million bond at the time.
He has already posted a $92 million bond in connection with a defamation case brought by writer E. Jean Carroll, who accused Trump of sexual assault.
Judge Expands Gag Order In Donald Trump’s Hush Money Trial
MEGA
As the countdown to the billionaire politician’s hush money settlement trial draws to a close, a New York judge has extended his order following Trump’s continued social media attacks on the case, prosecutors, the legal system, and even the judge’s daughter.
Judge Juan Merchan warned that Trump’s behavior was a threat to anyone involved in the case and even amounted to an attack on the rule of law.
“It is no longer just a mere possibility or a reasonable possibility that there is a threat to the integrity of judicial proceedings. The threat is very real. Admonitions are not enough, nor is reliance on restraint,” Merchan wrote in the order, per CNN.
