Former US President Donald Trump reportedly did not take the news that his daughter Ivanka Trump must testify in his fraud trial, which is well underway.
Trump, whose son Donald Jr. and Eric has testified, accused of lying about his financial worth to enrich himself in his business dealings.

“What you don’t hear in court is how upset and agitated [Donald Trump] is that his children have been dragged to court. He felt it was another act to trouble him. He was angry,” an insider told the news outlet.
“This causes problems with Ivanka, who has worked hard to stay under the radar for the past two years and is preparing herself for the press and paparazzi that will pounce on her in court,” the source added.
Ivanka Trump Was Previously Dismissed as a Defendant

The mother of three was named as a defendant in the lawsuit against Trump and the Trump organization but was dismissed by a state appeals court in June.
The lawsuit, filed by New York Attorney General Leticia James, alleges that Trump and the Trump organization engaged in “numerous acts of fraud and misrepresentation” to inflate Trump’s net worth in order to obtain better loan terms, although the former president has denied this, with said “The fraud is in the court, not on me.”
Ivanka’s lawyers argued that she should not be forced to testify after the appeals court decision. However, the decision was overturned by Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron, who demanded his presence in court after hearing the defense’s arguments on why he should not testify.
Donald Trump Distances Himself From Financial Statements

The former president took the stand on Monday to testify and has refrained from providing financial statements under scrutiny in his ongoing fraud trial, per ABC News.
During the proceedings, Trump underwent five hours of direct examination and was asked about his former CFO Allen Weisselberg, who pleaded guilty to tax evasion, and about internal controls at the Trump Organization.
Trump revealed that he only learned of Weisselberg’s illegal conduct thanks to the Manhattan district attorney’s criminal investigation into his Organization and Weisselberg.
“People are coming after him viciously and violently because he works for me,” Trump said. “I feel very sad for him. He did a good job for me for a long time.”
Attorney General Kevin Wallace then asked him if he thought anything needed to change in his organization “because of what you learned from this lawsuit?”
“I don’t think so,” Trump said, noting he would defer to his new accounting firm. “We’ll see if anything comes up.”
Letitia James Is Not Backing Down In Her Effort To Bring Donald Trump To Order

In the latest development in the ongoing legal proceedings, New York Attorney General Letitia James said that Trump’s testimony did not change the existing evidence against him and, therefore, did not change his case, per ABC News.
James’ allegations came after expert witness Michiel McCarty testified that Trump’s misrepresentations cost the bank $168 million in potential benefits between 2014 and 2023.
The Attorney General said he “will not be bullied” and “will not be harassed,” adding that “the case will continue.”
“He rants, he throws insults, but we expect that,” James said. “At the end of the day, the documentary evidence shows that, in fact, he increased his net worth.”
