Drew Barrymore’s first daughter, Olive, is following in her mother’s laudable creative footsteps, not in the entertainment industry but in the world of fashion!

Barrymore believes her baby girl is a natural fashion designer, and she calls her “an Edie Beale” after the famous late socialite. The proud mom gushed to PEOPLE:
“[Olive] build amazing things and really, really have a great flair when it comes to sewing clothes.”
He added, “I have two forms, which is that I only have buckets and baskets and cloth, and then they can make clothes on those forms.” Barrymore has tested some of her daughter’s pieces over the years, though the up-and-coming designer has yet to make anything her mom wears on the carpet.

Olive seems to not only be interested in the fashion industry, but as her mother revealed, she is also “obsessed” with skin care brand Glow Recipe. The SAG Award winner explained that she always told the nine-year-old that she was too young for the product because they were “too active.” But, the little girl “just wanted to wear it and play with it.”
Olive admitted to loving the skin care brand’s packaging and “already wanted that fun;” however, her mother wanted her to take it “slowly” and use some less effective products like Neutrogena or Cetaphil. As for Barrymore’s other daughter, Frankie, she has an interest in collecting makeup and is described as the organized type who puts everything in its perfect place.

In the words of the 47-year-old, “[Frankie] has something in him that is very impressive. He has an incredible system. Everything is in place. I’m in awe of her.” Attending the Icon Party, held at Bloomingdale’s over the weekend, was exciting enough for Barrymore because she had to leave the house and play dress-up for the duration.
Although he still wears his sweatpants whenever he’s not working and probably throughout the pandemic, he admits that it feels good to celebrate again, making the most of his fashion sense.

As a single mother raising two children with her ex-husband, the Golden Globe Award winner experienced some challenges alongside some advantages, which she previously opened up about. The Blast shared that Barrymore explained that she missed her kids when they split up “because that wasn’t her plan.” She also said of the benefits of co-parenting, “Both parents get a day off.”
