Equestrian in alleged murder-for-hire plot was ‘sex-crazed,’ ‘slept her way’ through polo club — eventually ‘targeting rich men’: former friends

The glamorous Russian horsewoman accused of hiring a hitman to kill her husband was a “sex freak” and specifically targeted wealthy men, a former friend told The Post.

Tatyana Remley, 42, is currently being held in a San Diego jail following her August 2 arrest for soliciting the murder of her husband Mark Remley – a far cry from the luxurious life of high fashion, parties and polo matches where she is said to have planned to meet men and women romantically.

“He started with polo players and soon started targeting rich men,” a former friend, who did not want to be identified, told The Post.

“She’s a sex freak and some guys have their way with her. When you have a body like that, it attracts attention.

“Tatyana did a pretty naughty thing, and had a girlfriend too. And she ran away with him.”

Former friends who knew Remley — who has pleaded not guilty to the charges against her — for years said the buxom beauty didn’t talk much about her past, but he said she was Russian and had a background in dressage, a very special person. form of horse riding and horse show.

“He was nice, very friendly and easy to get along with everyone,” a friend told The Post.

Remley’s stunning looks and love of horses led her to the exclusive world of polo — Prince Harry’s favorite sport — in San Diego, where she quickly “started dating” and had many sexual relationships with men and women before breaking up with future husband Mark.

The friend added: “Mark is definitely smitten by her and that’s clear, and he’s determined to get what he wants.”

Friends said Mark had just gotten divorced when he met Remley and they hit it off immediately. The beautiful blonde was fun-loving and seemed to love Mark very much, and they soon became inseparable, friends said.

The two have children from previous marriages, and friends say Mark is helping pay attorney fees while Remley tries to get custody of both of her children.

“I’ve always wondered how she got someone like Mark,” said a former acquaintance, who also spoke on condition of anonymity saying they feared the fallout from Remley. “Every honest person thinks … he’s very, very lucky.”

Pals said Remley was at times crazy and depressed after losing custody of her children after a tumultuous custody battle.

Mark tried to ease his pain by “giving him whatever he wanted,” another friend said.

One of those requests – which friends say is more like a request – is to produce Valitar, a show that Remley hopes will rival Cavalia’s popular equestrian acrobatic show.

The plan was to bring the show to Del Mar, California before the more popular Cavalia came to town and stole its audience.

“It’s like Cirque du Soleil with horses,” Remley told reporters in 2012 on his show, according to the San Diego Union Tribune.

But Valitar was an epic failure before it even started. Ticket sales did not come in as the Remleys had hoped and the workers – including riders, acrobats and set builders – were not paid.

Mark Remley was eventually forced to file for bankruptcy in December 2012 for the corporation he set up to oversee Valitar.

“They don’t know what they’re doing— about anything,” Valitar director Erik Martonovich told the Tribune. “They’re not horse people and they’re not showy people.”

After Valitar’s epic collapse, the pair fled to Hawaii where they laid low. After a few years, Remley wanted to return to San Diego and had the idea to start his own polo team.

Some friends balked at the idea because they knew he wasn’t a strong rider, an important skill in the often dangerous sport of polo.

Remley convinced her husband to spend thousands of dollars to buy five horses. He then called an old friend to help him form a team, which he wanted to lead.

“I know he’s not a very good rider, but he thinks he’s a superstar,” another friend told The Post.

The Remleys successfully assembled a solid group of polo players and made their debut at the San Diego Polo Club in August 2015.

However, within minutes of the first match, Remley fell from his horse and broke his arm, according to sources.

Although the Remleys lost, friends said they celebrated with champagne after the game.

But like Valitar, the couple’s hopes for their polo team are also manifold. One day, Tatyana Remley just decided she no longer wanted to be involved in polo and sold all the horses, her former friend said.

Despite another financial setback, friends say Mark continues to support his wife, showering her with trailers, trucks and even a new Rolls Royce.

Their luxury farm in Del Mar, San Diego also has other animals and Tatyana Remley loves her goats and parrots.

Around April, Tatyana Remley told an acquaintance of their plans to go to Wellington, Florida where the National Polo Center is located.

But things later went downhill between the couple. Tatyana Remley filed for divorce on July 11 and claims her husband and his friends came to their home on May 21 in the middle of the night and threatened her.

“They forced their way into my bedroom and held me at gunpoint,” Tatyana Remley said in her declaration. “I was raped by one of his friends, who also told me that he planned to kill me. This goes on all the while the Respondent watches and laughs, allowing his friends to continue.

“They went to break my expensive horse statue in the yard and put a horse’s head on my bed, Godfather style.”

Remley also claimed that her husband also had a cocaine addiction and was prone to violent attacks due to mental illness.

However, friends who spend time with the couple aren’t buying Remley’s claims. They said they both “love cigars and vodka,” but never saw Mark do drugs.

Mark also loves his wife, but that all came to a screeching halt when she approached their mutual friend about his murder-for-hire plot in early July, he confirmed to The Coast News.

The shocked husband then went to law enforcement, who set up their own sting operation against Remley at the Starbucks on Loma Santa Fe Drive on August 2. He was also allegedly carrying three guns and an “advance payment” when he met with an undercover detective. as a hit man.

“She gave detailed information about how she wanted her husband killed and his body disposed of,” San Diego County Sheriff’s Department officials said.

Former friends on the polo circuit who knew the couple were shocked, but also said they were not surprised by Remley’s alleged actions.

“I was surprised that he would be so mean, but I know a couple of guys who ‘played’ with him and they said he was a cold b—h,” the former friend said.
