The desire to see relationship success stories come out of our favorite reality TV shows is universally felt!
Vanessa and Nick Lachey have done their part to help make those happy moments happen with a variety of Netflix shows. The happily married couple has been a part of “Love Is Blind,” “The Ultimatum,” and most recently, “Perfect Match.”
Unfortunately, the success rate of couples who have participated in “Love Is Blind” for the past three seasons is quite low. But that doesn’t mean forever friendships aren’t born as a result of the show!
The ‘Love Is Blind’ Franchise Continues to Face Breakups
The highly successful reality series, which premiered in 2020, aims to encourage blind dating.
Participants meet potential partners through chat and ‘dating’ while keeping themselves in separate ‘pods’. If the couple is successful, they can get engaged and start the lightning-fast process of planning their wedding!
Season one couple Lauren and Cameron Hamilton and Amber and Matt Barnett are two of the few couples from the franchise who are still together as of this writing!
The much-discussed and rather dramatic second season of the show saw Iyanna McNeely and Jarette Jones, and Danielle Ruhl and Nick Thompson tie the knot during the season finale; both couples have now called it quits.
The latest third season leads to two successful marriages as of this writing, with Colleen and Matt Bolton and Alexia and Brennan Lemieux leading the pack.
Countless relationships over the course of the show’s three seasons that didn’t make it to the altar, but instead were given a chance to blossom after filming wrapped have also come to an end; However, the budding friendship trend from “Love Is Blind” helped redefine the definition of success for the show!
The ‘Love Is Blind’ Franchise Is Not Blind To Bestie’s Success Rate!
Season two besties Natalie Lee and McNeely continue to document their friendship on their social media feeds, regularly filming themselves out to dinner, and even spending time in the emergency room together!
Lee set his sights on Shayne Jansen, who most recently appeared on “Perfect Match.” The couple faces an engagement and a trip to the altar, finally deciding to say “I don’t” to their future as a couple. Jansen and Lee often face trust issues in their relationship; Jansen recently shared the various ways in which she has learned certain relationship-related insights about herself.
Lee and McNeely’s TikTok feeds are each filled with videos of the two of them spending time together, and their Instagram accounts are no exception! Earlier today, Lee posted a picture of the besties hugging each other. McNeely’s hand was on Lee’s, and eagle-eyed fans in Lee’s comments had spotted something shiny; McNeely is wearing what appears to be an engagement ring!
Ruhl commented, and said what many seem to be thinking; she said, “Legit is like… well they’re engaged at first sight!”
McNeely played up the speculation, commenting, “Save the date. [laughing emojis] I love you my Christmas”
Lee’s followers have lots of questions and thoughts! “That’s the plot twist no one saw coming,” said one follower.
Another follower went on to ask Lee if the couple would be tying the knot in the future; “Wait, are you engaged??”
“Please get engaged! A friend’s engagement is wonderful!” another follower wrote.
Lee received enough comments to make it clear that he and his best friend are just that: best friends!
“(edit: we are not engaged [laughing emoji],” Lee wrote in his caption. “we’re just trying to show off our matching bracelets)”
The friendship of the couple who wear friendship bracelets is sure to resonate with their fans. Many of Lee’s followers came to support the besties!
“The best relationship comes from Love Is Blind, any season, hands down,” one fan commented, along with a heart-eyes and hand emoji of praise.
“I just told my Manager in our meeting this morning how great your friendship is and it’s probably the best thing to come out of your season,” another fan commented.
“Women support women, love it,” another follower commented.
“Friends are the family we choose [heart emoji],” one fan wrote.
“You ladies are so inspiring,” another follower wrote to the two, “I love seeing how many of you have formed true bonds of friendship and support each other! [heart emoji]”
