According to the website, the Colonial National Invitational is actually called the Charles Schwab Challenge for sponsorship reasons. It has been around since its inception in 2019, although the inaugural event was held 77 years ago in 1946. After all, the “challenge” is actually a professional golf tournament in Texas that takes place on the PGA Tour.
It takes place every year in May in Fort Worth, Texas. The event was organized by the Colonial Country Club, where it took place. For fans who may not be familiar with golf tournaments, there are five invitational tournaments on the PGA Tour and this is one of them.

In the tournament’s history, Ben Hogan, who died in 1997, won the tournament five times, the most by any player. Hogan was one of the greatest players in golf history, winning nine major titles.
