Welcoming two children to one of the richest men in the world is a big concern for Grimes! The sensational singer recently opened up about her relationship with Elon Musk and their children.
When the Canadian beauty and the famous businessman started their relationship in 2018, many were surprised by their unique pairing. However, the two surprisingly developed a lasting bond that transcended their on-and-off romance.
Although the couple is no longer intimate, they remain close friends and co-parents. While their children may receive the best of privileges thanks to their father’s wealth, the “Oblivion” hitmaker wants her baby to have a different upbringing.
Grimes Wants Her Kids to Avoid the ‘Pretty Intense’ Life of Being Elon Musk’s Child

During a new interview with WIRED, the 35-year-old entertainer opened up about her life as a mother and her children’s future. Sharing the joys of motherhood, the 4-time Juno Award winner says it has changed her perspective and her artistry.
“Motherhood makes me more optimistic. I wasn’t very focused before. It’s just, what sounds cool, what feels cool, “I am the media personality. “Now I feel a social responsibility with my art – to make optimistic art of the future.”
Grimes later explained, “Not a lot of people do that. People have a really bad vision of the future because it’s easy and fun to write about a cyberpunk dystopia,” before crediting his children for influencing positive changes in his career.
“Seeing my children makes me pathologically optimistic. It’s a life mission,” added the Canadian singer. Given the 35-year-old’s love for his children, it’s no wonder the doting mother-of-two is worried about her little angel growing up with privilege.
When asked about this, the “Genesis” artist revealed she was worried about the effect Musk’s wealth would have on their children. “A little bit. I think their lives are going to be pretty intense. Being Elon’s child is not the same as being anyone’s child,” the Webby Award winner said of her predicament.
Although she can’t shake the power of being the son of a business magnate, Grimes plans to keep her children grounded with her simple parenting. “In my house, at least, I want it to be more of a crazy warehouse situation and a cool art space,” shares the entertainer.
It seems that the “Shinigami Eyes” singer has good reason to be concerned about the privilege affecting her children thanks to Musk’s unprecedented parenting. Although the former couple’s son was three years old, the billionaire introduced the boy to the world of business.
The toddler, uniquely named X AE A-XII Musk, has been seen joining his famous dad in business meetings and other activities. When asked if this was a “weird protege thing,” the Canadian beauty replied: “I’m here for it. X knows so much about rockets. It’s ridiculous. He knows more about rockets than I do.”
According to the NME Award nominee, his son is different from other kids his age given X’s interest in rocketry and engineering. “We had to stop giving him toys because if they weren’t anatomically correct, he would get mad,” Grimes revealed.
“He’s a little engineer, sure. But his obsession with space is bordering on, ‘Is this healthy?'” the “Oblivion” singer lamented. Recalling the incident that left the child traumatized, the media personality said:
“When X saw the Starship explode, he had a PTSD episode for three days. Every hour, he would wake up and say, ‘Starship …’ and I would have to rub his back.”
Surprisingly X is not the only genius in the house as his younger sister Exa Dark Sideræl Musk, nicknamed Y, also has unique interests. “He is also a small engineer. He likes the shipping industry. He’s so weird,” Grimes revealed.
‘Cyberpunk 2077’ Voice Actor Praises His Ex For Being A Great Leader
The Canadian singer and her former lover are known for their eccentric personalities. However, Grimes believes he has gained valuable knowledge from the business mogul. Singing her ex-boyfriend’s praises, the record producer said:
“I learned from it, like, the best internship ever. People don’t like to talk about Elon, but it was incredible to be there watching all the SpaceX stuff happen.
Grimes added, “It’s a master class in leadership and engineering and makes you understand how rare it is to have leaders of that quality.” The “Alter Ego” judge’s sweet comment didn’t impress the interviewer, who hinted at Musk’s controversial Twitter takeover.
However, the mother-of-two defended the billionaire, saying it was challenging to be “a great general and do something that big.” He claims the Boring Company founder has a “kind of old-world discipline” that offends those who can’t stand his “hard zone”.
“If you don’t agree to be in that rigid zone, I understand. But he challenged me a lot. I learned a lot about running my own team and my own life. I am now tougher and wiser than before,” claimed the recording producer.
