Brothers HAIM have a big reason to celebrate in 2023: this year marks a decade since their first album, “Days Are Gone,” was released!
Since then, Este, Alana and Danielle Haim have released two additional albums, 2017’s “Something To Tell You” and 2020’s “Women In Music, Part III.”
Long before the group became one of the most famous indie bands of the last ten years, HAIM released the single “The Wire” from their debut album and would go on to plant the seeds to become a fixture at music festivals, creating a stage presence full of dance moves that unique and Este’s favorite “bass face”.
The trio is gearing up to release the “Barbie” soundtrack, which features contributions from the sisters, but they’re also looking back! HAIM announced their plans on how they will commemorate the 10th anniversary of “Days Gone.”

Danielle discussed the downside with the outlet. She said, “It takes a lot of strength to be vulnerable. It’s amazing to see [the reaction to the album]. ‘Saya Tahu Sendiri’ was probably written at the darkest depths of my depression,” he continued. “and it’s weird because we released it during the pandemic when everyone was alone, and the messages we got from our fans said, ‘This has helped us a lot.’ There’s nothing better than having that connection with someone you don’t know.”

Alana also championed therapy in the interview, calling it “so important.” The 31-year-old starred in the Oscar-nominated film “Licorice Pizza.”
Este, the eldest sister in the group, has type-1 diabetes and revealed that doctors once advised her not to become a touring musician.
“When I was growing up, doctors told me it was a really bad idea to be a touring musician,” the 37-year-old told Elle UK. “That was the most terrible thing for me. I understand why now, because it was so hard. There are so many things that affect diabetes that no one ever talks about. But I want to be able to show my fellow diabetics that you don’t have to let anything stop you from realizing your dreams,” continued Este. “There are days when I’m so ‘depressed’ because my blood sugar will be high all day and I don’t know why.”
