Actor Hayden Panettiere recently opened up about his struggles with alcohol and opioid addiction.
The actress flaunts her toned figure on the cover Women’s Health Magazine while sharing that she had to undergo surgery to become a more confident version of herself.

The actress can be seen posing in some steamy pictures for the magazine while showing off her toned body in the process. Panettiere, 33, chose the rocky beach as the filming location and was seen with a beaming smile on her face.
She wore black bikini bottoms in one of the photos and paired it with a long-sleeve turtleneck crop top, leaving most of her skin exposed.
In another photo, he was seen in a white shirt with sleeves, barely buttoned up with his blonde hair falling gracefully across his chest. Panettiere appears in the third photo in a black-and-white striped top and black bikini bottoms with matching earrings.
Hayden Panettiere Undergoes Breast Reduction Surgery
The actor, who made his acting comeback after a 4-year hiatus to star in “Scream 6,” revealed during his interview with Women’s health that he had to undergo surgery to boost his confidence.
She insisted that going under the knife was pointless for her because she wasn’t confident in her skin, saying, “My body still doesn’t feel like it’s mine.”
In fact, Panettiere had to undergo breast reduction surgery in November 2022 and has defended her decision to undergo the surgery.
“I don’t think there’s anything wrong with someone wanting to change something if it makes them feel more confident,” he said. “That’s all I want to say about it. My confidence is back.”
He Uses Drugs and Alcohol To ‘Cope’
The “Racing Stripes” actress openly discussed her struggle with alcoholism, which was caused by postpartum depression, at one point during her interview with the magazine.
According to the publication, Panettiere began using the bottle in 2014, after she had her daughter and suffered “crippling postpartum depression.”
He described his feelings at the time as “extreme despair” and “like all the walls were closed.”
“I was told how to be and how to live by so many people in my life,” he says of how the addiction began. “I want certain decisions to be mine, and no one can stop me. What I put into my body is like an act of resistance.”

He revealed that at a time when he was struggling with depression and alcoholism, pain from a past neck injury resurfaced, driving him to use opioids.
“I was in a lot of pain,” she recounted. “My tolerance got so high so fast that it became a problem.”
Panettiere continued, “I was supposed to be on antidepressants for postpartum depression, but you have to find the right drug for you. They don’t mix well with alcohol, and I’m not ready to stop drinking.”
Hayden Panettiere Goes To Rehab

The mother of one shared that in order for her to get past the dark phase of her life and become a better person, she had to go to rehab.
Panettiere revealed that she checked into a rehab center to fight addiction in 2015. “I was the one who put myself in the first treatment center,” she shared. “I’m drowning.”
The actress enrolled in a “12-step program” when she celebrated her 30th birthday.
“My body was like, ‘enough,'” she explained. “I’m 30. My face is swollen. I have jaundice. My eyes are yellow. I had to go to a cardiologist. I hold an unusual weight. My hair is thin and falling out in clumps.”
He continued, “A big part of my therapy has been living in forgiveness,” adding that “steps in a 12-step program are making amends.”
