A cancer patient who was attending the Supernova festival in Israel when Hamas terrorists attacked and slaughtered 260 innocent civilians on October 7 survived an act of selfless heroism when he jumped on a grenade in an attempt to save others.
Raz Peri, who is battling lymphoma, said he was at the festival to “feel alive again” but had to immediately switch to survival mode when the invasion happened, he told CNN from his hospital bed.
The 20-year-old watched in horror as “40 to 50” Hamas terrorists were gunned down fleeing festival-goers during the early stages of the attack.
“I saw the terrorists shoot one, two, three, and they fell,” Peri said.
She scrambled with four others to take cover in a roadside bunker, but one of the women screamed when she saw the terrorists approaching the hideout and spoke Arabic.

He told the outlet that he had “nothing, just my hands” and was forced into a fight with a terrorist as they entered the doorway following the woman’s screams.

Other Hamas attackers began firing at Peri but instead hit a hiding festival-goer in the leg.
The fight ended outside the shelter with Hamas terrorists accidentally shooting dead one of their own, the outlet reported.

They quickly retreated back to the shelter, and then the remaining terrorists surrounded the structure and peered inside with “crazy eyes,” before throwing several grenades inside.

The blast tore off his leg and left him partially unconscious, The Times of London reported.
After others in the group began helping the wounded, one man who was hiding decided to leave, prompting the Hamas terrorists to return to the shelter with their guns blazing.

The terrorists mercilessly killed several more innocent civilians, including a man and his wife.
Peri was shot in the stomach but survived because he pulled the dead woman’s body over himself and pretended to be dead.

Hamas terrorists are seen taking women hostage and parading them through the streets in a gruesome video.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced “We are at war” and promised Hamas would pay an “unprecedented price.”
Gaza health officials reported at least 3,000 Palestinians killed and more than 12,500 injured.
“I don’t feel sick right now. I just heard the car go,” he told the outlet.
The brutal terrorist then left the area, prompting Peri and the others to seek help while the two survivors stayed behind.
Unfortunately, those who remain will be killed before help arrives, Peri shares.
“When I go to the city, everyone is dead. I see girls in pants. I saw a knife in the body,” he told CNN as he gestured that the knife was sticking out of the girl’s chest.

He found safety with surviving family in a nearby town, who treated his wounds until further help arrived.
He has been recovering for the past 13 days at Kaplan Medical Center in Rehovot.
“I have cancer,” said Peri. “I go to festivals to listen to music for my soul. What I see with my eyes, I cannot accept this [away].”
