Hilary Swank has remembered her late father, Stephen Michael Swank.
The actor shared a heartbreaking update with his 1.5 million followers on his father’s 75th birthday. He used a photo that showed a resemblance between him and the late patriarch and expressed his feelings about his absence in the caption. The update comes shortly after the birth of her twins — a girl and a boy — earlier than their expected dates.

Hilary has certainly had a rollercoaster of a month, welcoming her twins, which she announced via social media last week. Now, the “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” star has paid tribute to her father in a moving post featuring multiple throwback images.
In the first slide, the father and daughter pair are seen sniffing a flower petal before posing in front of an American flag, a green field and a blue sky in the next photo. The third slide is a close-up of Stephen’s face, while the fourth shows him in a black-and-white snap.
The late Air Force veteran appeared to be enjoying himself as he sat in front of some potted plants with one leg outstretched. He wore a plain T-shirt with a plunging neckline, jeans and sneakers. Under the picture, his famous daughter wrote:
“You would be 75 years old today, and a Great Papa to two more amazing souls. I celebrate you every day and the wonderful gift you filled and continue to be in my life.”
The “Sometimes They Come Back… Again” star noted that while Stephen is “deeply missed by many”, no one misses him more than him. The end of his tribute was equally touching as he wrote, “Thank you for being my guiding light. i love dad Always and forever for life.”
