Oliver and his daughters Madita and Annik were the sole passengers in the small single engine jet that tragically crashed into the sea on Thursday, December 4. They are on their way to St. Lucia after taking off from JF Mitchell Airport on the Grenadine island of Bequia.
Unfortunately, during the afternoon flight, the aircraft encountered an unexplained issue, leading to its descent into the ocean one nautical mile west of Petit Nevis shortly after takeoff.
The Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Coast Guard began rescue efforts with the help of local fishermen and divers in the surrounding area. Unfortunately, their efforts turned out to be unsuccessful.
Eventually, four bodies were recovered from the wreckage, identified as Oliver, his baby girl, and the pilot, Robert Sachs. The body was taken to the mortuary in St. Vincent, where a post-mortem examination will officially determine the cause of death.
The police expressed their condolences to all those affected by this tragic incident. Christian Oliver, who is from Frankfurt, Germany, portrays a detective in the German TV drama “Alarm für Cobra 11”, which focuses on the highway police force.
His extensive list of credits includes appearances in TV and movies, such as “Saved By the Bell: The New Class.”

Actress Bai Ling paid tribute to Oliver in an Instagram post, revealing their collaboration in the film titled “Forever Hold Your Peace” and expressing plans to shoot scenes with him. The Chinese-American actor and musician, who took to the social media platform early Friday, wrote in part:
“I cannot express the sadness I felt when we [director] Nick called me not long ago [to say] that the plane he was on had crashed, including his 2 beautiful daughters and the pilot had all passed! He is very kind, hardworking and brave actor and a beautiful gentle person, we act as lovers in this movie, it’s so sad ……. And his daughters are very young ….”

A look at Oliver’s Instagram page reveals that he has been active for the past few days. On January 1, the “Master of Death” star shared a New Year’s photo on Instagram that showcased the sunset on the beach.
Across the image, which appears to have five human silhouettes standing in the sand, is the instruction, “Let Love Rule. Wishing you all the best in 2024.” In the caption, she wrote, “Greetings from somewhere in heaven! To community and love… 2024 here we come!”
The previously quiet comments section has become more active since news of Oliver’s death emerged, with many expressing their dismay at the incident.
“I am physically ill. This must be a mistake. I just spoke to him 2 months ago – someone please make sure this isn’t a terrible mistake,” one person said in a comment, as others noted, “sending my condolences. someone please make sure his wife is ok. sending many prayers on his way.”
