JK Rowling may be a world-renowned author, but her trolls may be getting close to her supporters!
It is well-known that her brilliant work in the fantasy series “Harry Potter” has received mixed reviews from far and wide, including gender- and religious-based controversies. And while this may have prompted talk of her books losing an audience, Rowling doesn’t seem too worried, all thanks to her significant cash flow.

Bragging about his earnings while replying to trolls Twitter who wonders how he “sleeps at night,” the British author points out that money seems to ease his pain in the short term.
Rowling posted a screenshot of the troll’s tweet without the handle, and the message read, “How do you sleep at night knowing you’ve lost an entire audience from buying your book.” The screenshot was accompanied by the author’s reply which read:
“I read my latest royalty check and found the pain went away quickly.”
His statement seems to have taken off with many fans as it has received almost 22,000 retweets and more than 280,000 likes. Some liberals who believe he deserves every penny he earns have also backed him with positive words, including Blaze media CEO Ryler Carditis.
Despite Rowling’s success, she has naturally drawn a lot of criticism over the years, including an incident in August when she skipped the anniversary of her most famous work, “Harry Potter.”
The Blast notes that fans believe he did not appear on the HBO special “Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts” given his social media presence and accusations of transphobic comments.

However, the philanthropist claimed otherwise during a chat on Virgin Radio Saturday with Graham Norton. He said, “I was asked to do it, and I decided I didn’t want to do it.”
“I think it’s about the movie more than the book, right. That’s what the anniversary is all about.” He added, “No one said no [do it]…I was asked to do it, and I decided not to do it.”
Discussion moved on to his controversial social media presence, given that he received death threats after “The Satanic Verses” author Salman Rushdie was stabbed in public. Rowling, who has a “love-hate relationship” with social media, particularly Twitter, explained, “I try to behave online the way I want other people to behave.”

He added, “I never threatened anybody. I certainly didn’t want anybody to go to their house or anything like that.” The 57-year-old may have been referred to when he was tricked by activists in November 2021, months before the reunion special aired.
He further mentioned that social media can be fun while listing “that pub argument aspect” as one of his favourites. He also revealed that he could “happily” go for days without “joining a [virtual] a fight in the pub.”
In 2020, when Rowling published anti-trans writings on her website, many “Harry Potter” stars, including star character Daniel Radcliffe, spoke out in support of the trans community.

In part of Radcliffe’s statement, he described transgender women as women while stating that any conflicting information erases “the identity and dignity of transgender people.” He also hopes it won’t taint what members of the community have found in the “Harry Potter” story and can resonate.
Author Gets Scary Death Threat After Supporting Author Stabbed
Being active on social media and connecting more with fans around the world seems to have taken a toll on Rowling as she received horrific death threats on Twitter in August. The Blast reported that the threat came after he supported 75-year-old stabbed author Rushdie by wishing him well on the social media platform.
It should be noted that Rushdie was attacked at the CHQ 2022 event in New York while on stage. He was stabbed in the face, arms and body nearly fifteen times and was reportedly in danger of losing his eyes. Many stars, including Rowling, supported the victims, but unfortunately, his goodwill prompted one user to tell him under his tweet: “Don’t worry, you’re next.”
In response, the co-founder of Lumos cited a statement and marked Twitter’s official support account, pleading with them to come to his aid. He also appreciated his fans for their support and for condemning the threat.
