James Corden Called Out For Plagiarizing Ricky Gervais’ Comedic Material!

James Corden has just been served with new and fresh negative publicity.

Weeks after the talk show host was called out for his bad behavior at several high-end restaurants, publicly apologized and retracted his public apology, the British celebrity has been accused of plagiarism.

On Monday, October 31, the “Late Late Show with James Corden” host delivered a bit of comedy about guitar lessons.

The whole bit sounds exactly like a Ricky Gervais-narrated comedy in 2018.

“If someone puts up a poster in a town square that says ‘guitar lessons available’, like you don’t want people to go: ‘I don’t want to play guitar! I want to play your piano s**t’! That sign is not for you,” Corden said. “It’s for someone else! You don’t have to be angry about all that.”

Here’s how 2018 Gervais put it, “It’s like going to a town square, seeing a big notice board and there’s a notice – guitar lessons – and you go, ‘But I don’t want to learn guitar. .’ Well, that’s not for you, just leave. Do not worry!”

In fact, “The Office” star actually chimed in about the similarities between the sketches.

Quote Gervais tweeted ‘The Late Late Show’, which has since been deleted, and wrote, “the bit about the town square ad for guitar lessons was brilliant.”

A fan responded to the English comic asking, “But not delivering it like you do. I assume he asked to use that joke?

Gervais replied, “No. I think one of the writers ‘made it’ for him. I doubt he would consciously copy such a famous stand-up routine word for word.”

Doesn’t convey it like you do. I assume he asked to use that joke?

If you don’t know, every television talk show has a group of writers who help write jokes, sketches and segments for the show.

So, it’s highly likely that one of Corden’s writers or a group of writers is responsible for ripping off Gervais.

Another fan chimed in and asked the “After Life” star why she deleted her tweet from ‘The Late Late Show.’

Gervais joked, “Beginning to feel sorry for him 😂.”

Why did you delete your original tweet about this?

Corden heard the commotion and tweeted about the stolen joke.

Accidentally told a brilliant Ricky Gervais joke on the show last night, obviously not knowing it was coming from him. It’s brilliant, because it’s a Ricky Gervais joke. You can watch all of Ricky’s great deals on Netflix. Jx

As mentioned earlier, the new wave of criticism against the British actor came after he was called out for having a terrible temper and bad attitude towards restaurant staff.

Restaurant owner Keith McNally recounted several instances when the TV personality abused his staff on several occasions when he came to dine.

Corden has come under fire for the allegations, exacerbated by an interview he did, in which he claimed he had done nothing wrong.

Last month, Corden fully addressed the incident and shared that he regretted his actions. During the Oct. 24 episode of ‘TLLS,’ Corden reflected on the recent controversy about him being rude to staff at New York City’s popular restaurant Balthazar. The comedian shared that his wife’s food allergies prompted the incident.

Corden said, per Yahoo, “We sat down, we ordered, and my wife explained that she has a serious food allergy, right? So when everyone’s food came, my wife was given the food she was allergic to. But he didn’t bite her or anything, everything was fine.”

The show’s host added that employees returned the food to make the correct order but ended up bringing the wrong dish again. He becomes agitated later and ends up criticizing the staff without thinking first.

He continued, “when the dish didn’t go well for the third time, in the heat, I made – I made a sarcastic, rude comment about cooking it myself. And it’s a comment I deeply regret.”

As the allegations went viral, Corden also explained why he told The New York Times that he did nothing wrong. The comic said he believed he was safe because he didn’t curse or use profanity towards the worker.

He said on the show, “Because I didn’t yell or scream, like, I didn’t get up from my seat, I didn’t call anybody or use abusive language, I just walked around thinking that I didn’t do anything wrong, right?”

The comedian later expanded on the matter by stating that although he avoided using negative language, his behavior could still be described as disrespectful.

Corden said. “But the fact is, I have. I made a rude comment, and it was wrong. It is an unnecessary comment. It is rude to the waiter.”
