Jennifer Lopez Offends Critics With New Cocktail Brand Launch
Although Lopez openly admits to not drinking, she has launched her exclusive line of alcoholic cocktails. The “Marry Me” leader announced the feat in a video where he admitted to having an alter ego named Lola.
He began by stating that the relentless grind of the past ten years had made him realize “the importance of enjoying life,” which prompted him to create “something simple, fun, fresh and delicious.”
“Delola gives people the freedom to enjoy – free from cutting, squeezing and socializing, free from the pressure to entertain, free to make ordinary moments extraordinary,” the Los Angeles resident added at one point.
Lopez’s update has received nearly 500k views, with thousands flocking to her comments section. Unfortunately, some people were not happy with the actions of the “Priceless Love” hitmaker and expressed it in the comments.
“Why not create an NA brand since you have been so vocal about the negative effects [sic] alcohol and you don’t drink?” one person asked. A second commenter claimed it’s “hard to buy” into the “Ain’t Your Mama” singer’s business when she’s “so vocal about NOT drinking.”
The netizen added, “Mocktails will be more brand and amazing for those who also choose not to drink alcohol!” A third Instagram user noted that the 53-year-old beauty only cares about “getting the bag” and not how her business choices affect her fans.
A fourth critic typed that the company was “ill-conceived and insensitive to the man in your life,” referring to Lopez’s husband, Ben Affleck, a recovering alcoholic.
Meanwhile, this netizen, who is more concerned about his alter ego’s name, asked if he used the nickname of his ex, Marc Anthony when he “had an affair with her while he was still married to Dayanara.”

Per List, Lopez has revealed that she avoids alcohol because it “ruins” people’s skin as they age, and she doesn’t want that for herself. Instead, the cosmetics brand owner chooses to sleep nine to ten hours.
