Jennifer Lopez Talks Her Twins Being Treated ‘Differently’ Due To Famous Parents

Jennifer Lopez reveals one of the downsides of being famous, especially when it comes to her children.

Although J.Lo, as she is fondly called, has been in the spotlight for over thirty years and has had to manage the public’s scrutiny, she is more concerned about her children’s struggle with attention. The “Selena” actress has twins– Emme and Maximilian from her third marriage to Marc Anthony, although she shares the 15-year-old’s parents with her current husband, Ben Affleck.

Recently, the 53-year-old actress opened up about how difficult it is for her children to grow up with their parents’ fame.

Like her character in the Netflix movie who gave everything to save her daughter, JLo shared that she’s not so different about her twins.

He said, “Everything. There are many things. I think being the child of famous parents is not something that many people can understand, and I guess [my kids] for that because they did not choose that.”

He continued, “They just started telling me how people treat them—so when they walk into a room, that’s what people think. They don’t see them for who they are.”

Getting emotional, the “Hustlers” star revealed that being under such pressure was a “hard thing” for Emme and Max. So he “wants to be able to protect them from that.”

The “Ain’t Your Mama” singer added another thing she wants to protect her children from. She began by explaining that while not everyone can get away with being bullied, she wanted to see her children not be judged by the public.

Lopez stated, “Everybody has to deal with being bullied like you said; no matter who you are, you can be bullied. But being judged by people you don’t know in a certain way, I think, makes it hard for them to grow up and be themselves. They know there’s a lens on them, and that’s hard.”

The “On the Floor” hitmaker claims she brought that life to her kids and feels a little guilty. However, the actress stated that although she wants to protect her children from “everything,” pain is a part of life.

He said, “You never want them to feel pain in their life, but that’s not realistic. You realize as you get older, OK, the pain is necessary. The pain is good. Pain makes you feel a little bit like a warrior when you go through it.

While the “Manhattan Maids” star will go to great lengths for her children, her partner Affleck will likely do the same. A few weeks ago, the Golden Globes Award recipient talked about how Affleck has been the perfect father figure to his children despite having children of his own.
