According to a new report, Marvel star Jeremy Renner tried to stop his nephew from being run over by a snow plow before his own freak accident. The actor has been in the news a lot since his horrific accident plowing over 14,000 pounds of snow on New Year’s Day.
The incident left Renner with more than 30 broken bones in addition to two trips to the operating table in one day. A few weeks after being in the hospital, the actor was discharged and allowed to continue his recovery process in the comfort of his home. According to his post a few days ago, Renner is undergoing physical therapy and is on the road to recovery.

Jeremy Renner Tried to Save His Nephew During a Snow Plow Accident

A Nevada sheriff’s office incident report revealed that Renner was in the process of saving his adult nephew from being crushed when he collided with his snowplow on January 1. CNNRenner did not activate the machine’s emergency brake because the snowplow began sliding sideways after the actor used it while pulling the vehicle out of the snow.
“Pistenbully’s snow guard began to slide, ejecting Renner from the vehicle without setting the emergency brake,” a redacted Washoe County Sheriff’s Office report said.
It further stated that the machine had some mechanical problems; however, the parking brake will prevent it from moving if it has been activated. “Although the Pistenbully has some mechanical problems, it is believed, based on our mechanical inspection, that the parking brake will prevent the Pistenbully from moving forward,” it continued.

The report further revealed that when Renner tried to stop his snowplow from crushing his nephew, he was pulled over and hit by it. “When Renner tried to stop or move Pistenbully to avoid injury to (his nephew), he was pulled under the vehicle on the side of the track and overturned.”
The redacted report also revealed that the engine brake indicator light was not working and “a mechanical issue may have been a factor in this accident.” After Renner is crushed by a snowplow, his nephew helps him, and they wait for medical help.
Renner was eventually sent to a trauma center, and after receiving medical treatment, his rep announced that he was in “critical but stable condition.” The actor has been released from the hospital and is undergoing physical therapy at home.
He Broke Over 30 Bones

Renner previously announced that he was on the road to recovery from an accident at home. The actor posted a photo on Instagram showing himself undergoing leg stretches as part of physical therapy to restore function in his body.
The post also revealed that Renner had broken no less than 30 bones as a result of the January 1 accident, in addition to orthopedic injuries and blunt chest trauma. The caption of the post read, “Morning workouts, resolutions all change this particular New Year. Born out of tragedy for my entire family, and quickly focused on uniting actionable love.”
“I want to thank EVERYONE for their messages and concern for my family and me. Much love and appreciation to you all,” Renner added. “These broken bones over 30 will heal, grow stronger, just as love and bonds with family and friends deepen. Love and blessings to you all.”
Jeremy Renner Gets Better After Undergoing Two Surgeries

Renner has been doing better since the snow plowing incident that nearly took his life. The actor was at home in his Tahoe at the time and was moving a family member’s car to prevent the snow from catching him.
Renner was crushed by the 14,330-pound machine, which resulted in serious injuries to the actor. The next day, the Marvel star had to undergo two surgeries. Since then, Renner has provided updates on his progress since the accident.
She notably shared a photo of herself shortly after the accident, in which she thanked fans for their well-wishes but couldn’t say more because she was “too messed up to type.” The actor too share other videos a few days later, but this time, his mother and sister were seen massaging his head.
