Unlike the negative reaction to his solo EP, “Boyz,” Nelson’s fans are loving his new song.

Unfortunately, the good times for Nelson came to a screeching halt shortly after “Bad Thing’s” release.

Earlier this week, he was interviewed by Sun and asked about the last time he spoke to his three former bandmates who make up the rest of Little Mix.

Nelson admitted it had been two years since he spoke to Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jade Thirlwall and Perrie Edwards.

The British singer abruptly left the girl group in 2020, citing mental health as her reason for leaving; however, a few months after leaving the group, he announced the launch of his solo career.

“For me, my mental health issues were an ongoing thing when I was in Little Mix. I was struggling with my body issues, constantly being bullied… and struggling with it,” she told the outlet. “For me personally, at the end of the day, I can’t enjoy the good parts, and it’s a shame because I had the most amazing time in Little Mix, but I will always say this, your mental health is the most important thing, and you only live once so sometimes you have to stop and take care of yourself.”

The internet became focused on Nelson’s confession about how long it had been since he spoke to the remaining members of Little Mix, and Nelson decided to speak out against the backlash.

“Today, I got about 20-f**king-five articles about me, the fact that I haven’t spoken to Little Mix in two years, and an ongoing feud,” she began her Instagram Story. “Anyway, what’s interesting about this music industry is when you’re going to do an interview and you think you’re going to talk about your music and your videos, and talk about something that’s important to you that goes on in your life and happens to the women around you, domestic violence, which is about my music video… S**T to be asked a question about Little Mix.”

Nelson noted that questions about the group that catapulted him to fame were “inevitable,” considering he’s been at the bar for a decade.

“Naturally, people will wonder if we are still talking. I said, ‘No, we haven’t spoken in two years, but I honestly wish them the best.’ We are all on our solo journeys; it’s an exciting time for us right now, and yes,” he continued. “Honestly, that’s all I said. That one, ‘No, we haven’t talked for two years,’ was then put in every single headline, in front of the press.”

He called her “f**king bulls**t” and called her “disgusting.”

“I feel like women are fighting each other 24/7 in music, and I hate it. I think it’s disgusting,” Nelson admitted.

Fans came to his defense on Twitter.

“Honestly, I’m heartbroken for him. This shit has to stop. Just look behind it… a little mixture of ingredients. He never hated them,” wrote one fan.

“It’s so disgusting he had to do this; it’s been three years since everything happened, and you all keep twisting his words. You all run to defend the mental health of others, but when it comes to Jesy Nelson, it doesn’t happen? I hate society and all you fake activists,” lamented another.
