Heather Rae Young is getting closer to her due date than ever, and she’s not holding back from updating her three million followers on her journey.
So far, she’s been telling fans about her battle with sciatica, choosing a theme for her unborn baby’s nursery, and balancing pregnancy with filming for her upcoming series, “The Flipping El Moussas,” with her husband, Tarek El Moussa. Now, Heather is sharing a glimpse of her hospital bags weeks after she told fans they’ll be able to see what she packed for the birth of her son.
Heather Rae Young Surpasses the Pack to Give Birth to Her First Baby
Over the past few months, Heather has proven that she is an organizer who can work hard for her comfort while being a pregnant stepmother to Tarek’s two children — Brayden and Taylor. The expectant mother reminded fans of those skills when she shared a clip showing her sitting on a large bed filled with black, white and nude pillows.
The “Selling Sunset” star, dressed in a floral robe and gray pants, held an equally large “Mommy Bag” in her hand as she told the audience, “I’m going to show you what I brought to the hospital. I might be overcrowded, that’s okay because I am a first-time mother.”

After seeing how “organized” she was in the Instagram clip, Heather admitted that she “just wanted to make sure my baby bag was ready ahead of time.” She then went on to show off the goodies, including “two homecoming outfits” for her unborn son – because she didn’t know his size, a beanie – to regulate his head temperature, flip flops and thermal face spray.
The Playboy Playmate alum also packed toothpaste, eye masks for herself and Tarek, throat lozenges, body and makeup wipes, socks, chapsticks, hair ties, nursing bras and nipple pads.
Next, Heather shows off her “coming home outfit,” which she chose for comfort and coziness, matching onesies, two hospital gowns, mouthwash, a blanket, and a button-up nightgown to help “skin-to-skin” with her baby.
Despite packing that much stuff, the excited mom-to-be revealed that she’ll “probably add a few more things” to the bag later. “Can you tell mama is so ready for her son to be here… ?” the “Love in the Machine” star asked in the caption before admitting that packing her hospital bag was “something that really got me excited.”
Heather’s comments section was soon filled with well-wishes and tips, with one advising her, “Be sure to steal everything from the hospital that you can! Diapers, wipes, and panties and giant pads they give you!! Trust me you will need it lol! Wish the best for mom.” “I will definitely add [a] pacifier and swaddling blanket,” another instructed.
Meanwhile, a few people seem unimpressed with its packaging choices. One asked, “Is he planning on staying in the hospital for a month?? This isn’t summer camp, honey.” A second claimed, “Nurses will get a kick out of this,” and a third asked her to “get a life.”
Despite the mixed reactions, Heather has done her best in doing what she promised her fans last month. According to The Blast, the actress mentioned showing off the hospital bag in an Instagram post about learning new things from a birthing coach who came to her house to help her. The 35-year-old wrote in part:
“I’m not sure about any moms out there, but with their first baby, I swear when I feel contractions I probably freak out. [and] making Tarek stop whatever he was doing to get me to the hospital. He taught me some tricks to try before rushing to the hospital- so much information I didn’t know.”
The post has caused Heather’s supporters to show her love and give her other helpful tips.
Realtor Says Goodbye to Sciatica Ahead of Imminent Baby Arrival
The Blast reports that the “Chillerama” star is finally resting from her sciatica after months of dealing with “unbearable” pain. Heather shared the news in an Instagram Story update featuring her dog, Bugz.
The pair were taking a walk around the reality star’s Newport Beach neighborhood, saying off-camera, “Update: my sciatica is gone. I just started running Bugz again yesterday. I haven’t exercised or walked in a while. So, I’m late.”
The real estate agent added that she is trying to “walk every day” until the arrival of her son later this month. Throughout the 18-second video, Heather gives a list of tips that help her get rid of the pain.
They “Rest as much as I can, physical therapy 2 times a week, acupuncture 2 times a week,” and alternate ice and heat.
