Joey Lawrence and Samantha Cope announced the birth of their first child on Friday, January 20. The couple revealed their daughter’s name, Dylan Rose Lawrence, on Monday, January 16. Joey Lawrence and Samantha Cope got married on May 1, 2022, in California, and had their first child within a year. The couple made an interesting statement on Instagram to share more about their baby girl, stating:
“We brought him into the world with the most amazing midwives, everyone is happy and healthy, and we are so happy. What an amazing journey. Thank you for your endless support for this beautiful new life! Stay tuned for baby spam xoxo”

As previously mentioned, Lawrence married Cope in a private ceremony in May 2022 in the company of close friends and family members of the couple. Lawrence’s children, Charleston, 16, and Liberty, 12, from his former marriage to Chandie Yawn-Nelson, attended the wedding at the Temecula Creek Inn in Temecula, California. The couple had been engaged for about a year before their wedding. Through an Instagram post in August 2021, the Blossom star revealed the same. The singer stated:
“Guess the cat is out of the bag! We are grateful for everyone’s incredible support and warm sentiments. We are so excited to see our future, and knowing that we will grow old and wrinkled together is the greatest gift.”
According to reports, the couple met on the set of Lifetime, which stars Joey Lawrence’s eldest daughter, Charleston, and is directed by her brother Andrew.

Lawrence’s marriage to Samantha Cope is his third, having previously been married to Michelle Vella and Chandie Yawn-Nelson. He married Vella in 2002, but the couple divorced in 2005. In July 2005, after their divorce, the singer married Yawn-Nelson. The couple married at Disney World, where they met when they were teenagers on vacation. Lawrence and Yawn-Nelson have two children, Charleston and Liberty, during their nearly 15-year marriage.
