John Stamos’ Son Billy Nicknamed Him ‘Poopy’ For This ADORABLE Reason

“Full House” star John Stamos recently revealed what his four-year-old son, Billy, likes these days. The actor initially gained recognition for his role in 1982-1986 on “General Hospital.” Stamos went on to star in “Full House” and reprized his role in the spin-off, “Fuller House.”

Stamos often talks about his son and how much the four-year-old means to him and his wife, Caitlin McHugh. The 59-year-old previously explained how his role in “Big Shot” and his relationship with his young co-star influenced how he wanted to raise his children. He explains he will teach Billy to be more “kind and loving” despite his special background.

Stamos joined the Oct. 12 episode of “Live! With Kelly and Ryan” where he talked about his four-year-old son Billy. The actor shares Billy with his wife McHugh, whom he married in 2018 after two years of dating.

During the interview, hosts Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos talked about how Stamos seems to have adjusted to parenthood and revealed which version of the actor suits him best. Ripa said, “I have to say that of all the variations of John Stamos that I’ve known over the years, watching you become a father is my favorite.”

The 59-year-old went on to reveal that he cried a lot with his son, Billy, and described the four-year-old as the light of his life as well as his wife.

Once he gets on the topic of his son, Stamos powers up, revealing the “new thing” the four-year-old has been most interested in recently. According to the 59-year-old, Billy is obsessed with the word “shit” and likes to say it “all the time.”

Stamos explained that his son liked the word so much that he started incorporating it into everyday conversation. “The new thing is that he likes to say ‘shit’ all the time,” the actor said. “I’m trying to teach him knock-knock jokes,” and he keeps finding ways to get the word in. [He goes,] ‘knock, knock?’ ‘Who’s there?’ ‘Excrement.'”

He added that Billy often yelled “Hi poo” even though his attempts to tell him the words didn’t go well. “I said, ‘Okay, it’s not appropriate to say ‘poop’ in school or talk about poo in school,'” Stamos added. “He said, ‘well, what if I go to poop school?’ He’s smart.”

Stamos remembered a moment he shared a FaceTime call with his son a while ago, and the word came up again, however, in a different variation. He revealed that while telling the four-year-old good night, he told him to look at the moon. Stamos, who wasn’t home with Billy that night, promised to do the same.

“And then he said, ‘Dad, I can see your eyes on the moon,’ and I said, ‘Son, I can see your eyes, too.’ It was such a beautiful moment, and I said, ‘I love you, Billy.’” In a touching moment, the four-year-old responded with the same sentiment, “I love you, poopy.”

John Stamos Says He Will Teach Son Billy To Be ‘Kind’

In an interview with E! News, Stamos talks about his relationship with his young co-stars on “Big Shot” and how working with them gives them some insight into their lives. The 59-year-old later revealed that the relationship had little effect on how he tried to raise his child with his wife.

The “Full House” actress joked that the four-year-old still hasn’t figured out how “cool” her father is; however, Stamos intends to keep it as a base that can even be raised with its privileges.

“I just need to lay the groundwork to be loving and kind and teach him to be that way,” she explained. “I think we are a pretty good example, me and my wife. The hard part is that he lived a pretty special life. [My wife’s] great, he took it down to feed the homeless in Orange County, and we took it on things like that. We’re trying to show him that it’s about service and giving back.”
