Rapper Kanye West is one of many celebrities who have reacted to Queen Elizabeth’s death and paid tribute to the late monarch. On September 9, the day after Buckingham Palace announced the Queen’s death, West made an IG post to the Queen and said he was “letting go of all grudges.”
The “Good Morning” rapper also added two photos of the late Queen when she was younger in the tribute post. The palace officially announced that Queen Elizabeth has died with a post on her social media account. The statement revealed that he had died peacefully at his Balmoral estate.

The statement also announced that Prince Charles will immediately assume the title of King and will remain at Balmoral with his Queen, Camilla. West’s statement that he is letting go of a grudge could mean he is ending his feud with rapper Kid Cudi and Adidas.

Kanye West Pays Tribute To Queen Elizabeth II
Earlier on September 9, West made an Instagram post paying tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth. The first picture in the post was a message that read, “Life is precious. Let go of all grudges today. Lean into the light.” The next pictures in the post are of the late Queen, decked out in jewelery when she was younger.

In the comments section of West’s post, some fans criticized West for not condemning the late Queen as many people did on social media. One comment read, “Tell their victims that the UK royal family is a famous pedophile in the UK many Survivors!!…just like hollywierd.”
Another comment read, “you don’t give him credit that he’s actually responsible for moving massacres and starving people in his colonies.” However, many other fans praised the rapper for paying tribute to such an icon and wrote positive and supportive comments under the post.

Buckingham Palace Announces Queen’s Death
Earlier on September 8, Buckingham Palace announced that Queen Elizabeth’s doctors have become very concerned about her health and are monitoring her closely. Shortly after, it was also confirmed that most of the royal family, the Queen’s children and grandchildren in particular, were on their way to be by her side at Balmoral Palace.

Crowds gathered at the Palace in London, awaiting a positive update on the Queen’s health. However, the update never came. By 6:30 p.m., the union flag atop the palace was lowered to half-mast, and palace officials posted an official notice that the Queen had passed through the gates outside.
A similar notice was issued in the palace social media account, causing a frenzy on various platforms. The statement was accompanied by a black and white photograph of the late monarch, revealing that he had died peacefully at Balmoral castle.
King Charles III Will Be Proclaimed On Saturday
The announcement of the Queen’s death also stated that “The King and Queen will remain at Balmoral this evening and will return to London tomorrow.” It is a British tradition that the next in line takes the crown immediately after the death of the reigning monarch.

King Charles later released his own statement about his mother’s death. The statement read, “The death of our beloved Mother, Her Majesty the Queen, is the saddest moment for me and all the members of my family. We are deeply saddened by the passing of a respected King and a much-loved Mother.”
It was later confirmed that the new King would be known as “King Charles III.” It is expected that he will be officially proclaimed the new King at St James’s Palace in London on Saturday. The declaration was only the first step in his ascension to King, and his coronation would come later.

Kanye West May Have Released His Revenge
West’s statement in his tribute to the late Queen that he let “all the grudges go” is interesting because the rapper has previously publicly revealed that he holds a grudge against several people. These include comedian Pete Davidson, rapper Kid Cudi, and sports brand Adidas.
