Talk show host Kelly Ripa revealed that she and her husband, Mark Consuelos, have taken a vow of chastity as the actress prepares to officially assume her role as co-host on “Live!”
While commenting on the publicized romance between former “GMA3” host Amy Robach and TJ Holmes, Ripa opened up, calling the ordeal “compelling.”
Consuelos, who had previously filled in as guest host, was slated to replace Ripa’s longtime co-host on the show, Ryan Seacrest, following his departure.

Ripa, 52, revealed that she and the “Riverdale” alum took a vow of chastity to keep their relationship as professional as possible before officially returning as her co-host on the show.
He made the revelation while weighing in on the scandalous romance between former “GMA” co-hosts Amy Robach and TJ Holmes, calling it “interesting.”
“I know how ABC doesn’t like that, you know, one-handed TV partners,” the “All My Children” alum told Andy Cohen, per E! News. “So, we promise, no bump on the side.”
They have been married since 1996 and have three children: Michael, 25; Lola, 21; and Joaquin, 20.

Ripa’s Ascension to Host “Live!” didn’t come without its share of turmoil, as she shared that she had to endure some seemingly sexist working conditions during her early days at the news network.
During a recent interview with Diversityhe talked about his struggles to get decent office space, private bathrooms and other perks at the news network during his early days.
Ripa shared that getting office space even after four years at ABC was an ordeal, as unoccupied space was “reserved” for executives from the West Coast.
“It was the strangest experience I’ve ever had,” he said. “I was told that I cannot have an office. It makes no sense, especially since I could easily occupy an empty office.”

He revealed that after four years, the news network cleaned out the janitor’s closet for him to use as office space at his insistence.
“After my fourth year, they finally cleaned out the closet and put a desk in there for me. So I worked in the janitor’s closet with a table to have a place to put things,” he said.
Ripa claims that she has met resistance from ABC executives, as they told her they were “saving” space.
“I said, ‘Keep it for what?’ And they said, ‘Well, when the new guy comes in,'” he said. “And I looked at them and said, ‘I’m a new man. I just moved my stuff. I forced my way into the office because I couldn’t understand how I was still in the janitor’s closet, and someone new was going to come in and get the office.”

Ripa previously shared how she and her husband were able to spice up their sex life and stay in touch.
On a recent episode of his “Let’s Talk Off Camera” podcast, he revealed that they both have rituals around the topic.
“We had a really funny sexual ritual, but I got so anxious about how I looked on FaceTime that I started hanging my computer on the stairs to look at Mark. [and] he doesn’t need to see what gravity is doing,” he shared.
