As the woman who wrote ‘TiK ToK’ and ‘the party doesn’t start until I’m in,’ I don’t think anyone needs or wants that side of my soul.”

Additionally, Kesha realizes that her pursuit of pleasing others has led her down a path of people-pleasing. He said, “I also realized that there was an element of pleasing people by just trying to give people what they wanted from me.”

He added that Rubin created “this very comfortable space where instead of thinking about what other people want, or what other people expect, or what will make other people happy, it’s about what really needs to be dug up from within me .”

However, the journey did not begin without its challenges. Kesha recalls initially entering the studio, where tears flowed freely for about two hours every day. “I would come in every day, and for about two hours, I would cry, and he would just create space,” she shared.
