Kyle Richards has tried to shut down rumors that he used Ozempic for his significant weight loss more than once in the last few months.
Given the chatter surrounding prominent public figures using the drug, created for diabetics, to lose weight quickly, the reality star —once again — had to defend herself against rumors that she used the drug. She recently clapped back at critics who accused her of lying about using injections to lose weight, even mentioning her “Real Housewives” co-star who “told you.”
Kyle Richards Applauds Trolls Who Accuse Him Of Using Ozempic To Lose Weight
Although Richards attributes her recent transformation to cutting carbs, sugar and alcohol from her diet, netizens continue to accuse the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star of spending thousands of dollars on Ozempic. The latest allegations surfaced in her comments section after she posted two images of herself wearing a hot pink number.
The dress, which featured high shoulders and a ruched midriff, was paired with a small silver purse and a pair of matching high-heeled sandals. Her face was beautified with perfect make-up as she wrote in the Instagram caption, “A little rain won’t stop me☔️.”

As expected, people flooded the comments to drop their two cents, with one claiming, “Ozempic body. 100% You look beautiful but only speak the truth. Your housewife friends have already told you. It’s not a big deal but it is when you lie about it.” In response, Richards admitted:
“This is not true. My housewives friends never said that. Another Housewife from a different franchise aka Melissa stated she thought I was but then sent me an apologetic message.
While there was no response, another explained that the 54-year-old was “being questioned” about his change because he had been trying to lose weight for years “and couldn’t get to this point before so why not tell what’s different? Diet and exercise had never worked for him before.
The “Police Woman” star previously tried to shut down Ozempic’s accusations when she reposted the “did you know” quote to her Instagram Story. According to The Blast, the statement read:
“It is almost impossible to change someone’s mind using facts. This happens because of ‘motivated reasoning,’ a psychological term that refers to the way people tend to believe whatever they want to believe and use the flimsiest of evidence to justify that belief, even when there is plenty of confirmed evidence to disprove it.”
He wrote, “This explains a lot ? #trolls ?,” under the repost.
‘Little House on the Prairie’ Cast Accused of Using Ozempic Last Year
The Blast reported earlier this month that Richards attributed his weight loss to skipping alcohol for seven months. The mother of four admitted that she didn’t miss a drink during the Q&A session with fans, writing, “Actually, I don’t miss it at all. I feel amazing, so [I] don’t see the point now.”

In a separate conversation about constantly denying Ozempic’s allegations, the People’s Choice Award candidate revealed, “Sometimes I turn my cheek the other way and ignore it, but I work really hard and it really bothers me. I want to be an inspiration to people. So don’t think I’m taking the easy way out.”
Richards further explained that since she “really puts a lot of effort” into her “diet and exercise and taking care” of herself, it’s “frustrating” when people think she’s “taking the easy way out.”
The Young Artist Award nominee has defended herself against several rumors since last year when people asked if she was taking Ozempic or had surgery because of her “great” looks.
“This is not from plastic surgery. I am honest about what I do. But if giving plastic surgery credit makes you feel better then go for it,” Richardson replied at the time. In a subsequent update via another social media post, the “Father Knows Best: Home for Christmas” star wrote, “I am NOT taking Ozempic. Never.”
In case you missed it, the Type II Diabetes drug became the drug of choice for rapid weight loss after it went viral on TikTok last year. With his newfound fame, Ozempic started flying off the shelves, with many celebrities said to have spent around a thousand dollars to get it.
Its continued popularity has since resulted in nationwide shortages and protests from concerned individuals.
