Posting an adorable photo of the family of three, featuring her husband, Samuel Cusick, and baby daughter, Sage, the pro dancer looked right at home as they sat on the lawn. And while it changed her life forever and “will always mean something to me,” she also sees her family as “the most important thing” while doing what’s best for her daughter. As fans know, the ballroom dancer’s family lives in Utah, and it wasn’t easy for her to move to Los Angeles with Sage to join “DWTS,” leaving her husband, who works there full-time, behind.

He explained, “Logically, there was so much involved to make this happen, and there were so many sacrifices that had to be made that unfortunately didn’t feel right for us this time.” Despite exhausting every option he and his partner of seven years could think of to make it work, none of the alternatives felt like the right thing to do for their lives.

In addition, they are also trying to expand their family, which “in itself is a complicated logistical thing,” as many of his fans understand. “It’s very important to me,” Lindsay continued, “that you understand that none of this has anything to do with my love for the show because that will NEVER change, nor does it mean that this is the end for me and DWTS.”

“SYTYCD” Star Gets Backlash For Taking Daughter On Vacation Amid COVID

Back in January 2021, Lindsay came under fire after posting a photo of herself and her family on vacation on social media during the COVID-19 pandemic. As The Blast reports, her newborn daughter was included in the vacation, and fans aren’t too happy about it, given the high possibility of Sage contracting the virus.

Shortly after the criticism, the brilliant choreographer delivered a brief message, more like a passive response, showing that he is not happy with those who criticize anyone’s parenting.

Although he insists that he is “far from perfect,” he does not need to be reminded of this fact. In addition, Lindsay wonders why critics never channel their energy into something more encouraging instead of “looking for the negative and looking for things to criticize.”
