Maralee Nichols is all about peace! The media personality continues to do her best as a mother, while Tristan Thompson appears to be a distant father to their son, Theo Thompson.
Ever since the fitness guru announced her pregnancy for the NBA star, the couple has raised a few eyebrows over their stretch. After battling it out in court over paternity suits and child support payments, the two are far from friendly.
Unlike the basketball player’s budding co-parenting relationship with Khloé Kardashian, the Canadian-American athlete’s love doesn’t seem to exist when it comes to personal trainers. After the 32-year-old celebrated Tatum Thompson’s first birthday, the social media influencer appeared to entertain her son with an outing.
Maralee Nichols Steals Son With Love Following Tristan Thompson’s Tribute To Her Other Son
Instead of dwelling on Theo’s lack of presence on her father’s social media platform, the model updated her Instagram Story with cute clips of her son. The Houston native’s post seemed to refer to the athlete’s recent dedication to his son with Kardashian.

The video, set to Bobby McFerrin’s iconic 1988 song “Don’t Worry Be Happy,” captures the entertainer’s toddler having fun at the beach. For the sunny affair, the little boy wore a light blue jumper with a navy blue bucket hat.
As the famous happy song plays in the background, the cute child walks barefoot on the sand. Although the video is shot from behind, Theo’s joy shines through his movements.
The child, who began to shuffle slowly along the beach, quickened his pace when he saw the ball. The little angel rushed to pick up the object, easily lifting it from the sand and taking a few steps before throwing it over his head.
The words “Beach Help” flashed in blue neon lights at the bottom of the screen. The caption, along with the background music, seems to convey Nichols’ desire to make good memories with his son, with or without the Los Angeles Lakers player.
As mentioned above, the social media influencer’s sweet post came after his ex-boyfriend’s birthday tribute to his other son. Tristan has written a lengthy message to Tatum, his second child with the “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” alum.
On his Instagram page, the Lakers player shared two photos of his fourth child. Both shots capture the father and son beaming with beaming smiles as they style casual ensembles with sunglasses.
The cute images mark the first time the 32-year-old has shared Tatum’s face on his social media, and he’s celebrating the milestone with gratitude. While the post was meant to honor the little one’s first birthday, the former Cleveland Cavaliers player raved about his son’s impact on his life.
“Tatum!! Happy birthday my son! You are a reminder of what life represents to me. You have taught me that every loss is a lesson, and you are my gift,” the NBA star declared. “You are my reminder of all God’s orders. You are the reason I started my story.”
The Brampton native appeared to discuss how her relationship with Kardashian ended after cheating on her with Nichols, writing: “Mistakes along the way are lessons, not failures. There’s no expiration date on reinventing yourself.”
“Tatum, your sweet soul reminds me of God’s gift. You are the future king, my son, and I am so blessed to be your DaDa!” Tristan ended his birthday tribute.
Fans Call Out Tristan Thompson For Failing To Acknowledge His Other Son
Naturally, talking about a kid without giving the rest of the social media attention doesn’t sit well with the athlete’s followers. Many hit back at the 32-year-old for ditching his son with Nichols while happily embracing his family with Kardashian.
“No one will respect a man who picks and chooses who to be a good father. Just stop,” one fan clapped. The second echoed the same sentiment with the comment: “It’s not good to hug some and not all of your children, no matter who gave birth to them!”

“A pure reflection of who you really are as a person, Tristan,” the individual concluded. Another slammed the former Boston Celtics player for sending sweet messages while being rude. The social media wrote:
“Dude, are you really not going to acknowledge your other baby??? Talking about God’s gift and life lessons?? How could such a shriveled person exist? Geez, this is hard to watch.”
A fourth fan shared the same distaste for the birthday tribute, asking: “How do you turn a birthday post for one of your kids into a blog about how you’ve ‘changed.’ Injuring someone continuously and intentionally is wild.”
