Marlon Wayans has finally opened up about the custody battle over his one-year-old daughter, Axl July Ivory Wayans.
The actress appeared to vent her frustrations, branding her baby mama, Brittany Moreland, “delusional” for getting full custody of their child and more than $18k in child support payments.

Wayans clarified the situation regarding her daughter just days after Moreland hit her with a petition that establishes him as the toddler’s father and asks for a hefty child support payment.
Opening up a conversation with The Shade Room, the “White Chicks” star explained that she’s not hiding Axl from the public, stating:
“All love, all God. The baby is no secret. Mom has posted. But I chose to keep the baby’s personal life a secret. It’s nobody’s business. Social media is toxic and dangerous, and I want to keep it safe.”
When asked if he had tried to ask for a reduction of the $21k Moreland wanted in monthly child support, Wayans answered in the negative. The Hollywood legend claimed that even though he should have, he chose to “remain in love and light.”
Wayans later revealed his displeasure with his baby mama’s request for physical and primary legal custody of Axl while granting him visitation rights.
“Do you pay all that money every month and be called a ‘visitor?’ Do the math,” shared the actor. “This is an illusion. I’ll let the lawyers and God do what they do. I will create art from a broken heart. I got nothing but love.”
Wayans even called Moreland “entitled” for wanting more than the $18k that “a good, loving, responsible father” pays each month for a one-year-old.

A second person typed, “Marlon is not a problem. He clearly said that he handles the roster responsibilities and will not be reduced to a visitor. He is a father. Can’t be mad at that,” as a third person declared, “Being a dad again on age 50 is a bad job.”

The Blast announced that Moreland filed a petition claiming her monthly expenses related to Axl totaled approximately $22,080.
She detailed monthly costs, citing $5k for rent, $9k for food, daycare, and miscellaneous expenses, and an additional $1,500 for her daughter’s clothes and program uniforms.
He also asked for an extra $2k a month labeled “child care” to make it easier for him to return to work, while referencing the Wayans’ estimated monthly income of $200,000.
Moreland also asked Wayans to cover her legal fees and “reasonable pregnancy and birth expenses.”
Meanwhile, Wayans already shares two sons, Kai and Shawn, with his ex-girlfriend, Angela Zackery, with whom he was in a relationship from 1992 to 2013.

Wayans and Zackery celebrated Kai’s arrival on May 24, 2000. Over the years, the 23-year-old has attended various events with his father and has become famous for his transition.
Wayans showed how much he supported Kai’s decision during Pride Month in June 2019. Underneath a photo of the father and son pair wearing rainbow sneakers, the father of three wrote:

When Shawn turned 21 in February 2023, his father posted a touching message about parenthood. Alongside a photo of their throwback, the comedian told his 6.6 million followers:
