Martha Stewart may not have an attention-grabbing love life at the moment, but she’s sure about what she wants in her dating life.
While reminiscing about her past dating experiences on the “Drew Barrymore Show,” Stewart openly shared her preferences with Drew Barrymore, hinting that she might be open to dating someone like Pete Davidson.

The program began with the host introducing “the legend, the icon, the one and only Martha Stewart” before she asked who was single and married in the audience – the result was a 50-50 split.
Barrymore later said she had been celibate for several years, while Stewart mentioned she hadn’t been in a serious relationship for three decades, which she wasn’t proud of. The “Blended” actor asked why, prompting his guest to say, “I’m stupid.” He added that he should have been married all along while dating.
After her divorce, the reality star admitted to dating “a lot” but didn’t see marriage as a priority at the time which she regrets. He further confesses that he misses the fun of it all, not so much the friendship. This prompts Barrymore to exclaim, “Alright, let’s take you on a date!”
Stewart said she was overwhelmed, which she always uses as an excuse, but the host insisted it would be a pleasant experience. However, in some cases, when Barrymore sees some relationships, she appreciates being single.
The conversation led to a dating game involving red, yellow and green flags, waved by the show’s host. Red signifies “No, no, no, no” Yellow means “over the fence”, while Green is going.
When asked to pick a flag if her date had as many tattoos as Davidson, she waved a green flag prompting Barrymore to declare that she knew her guests would provide such a dating experience.
The award-winning TV presenter then said, “There’s this thing on the internet that everyone wants you to go on a date with Pete Davidson.” Stewart noted that the famous comedian has dated many women, whom he believes are good, before calling her “kind of cute.”
He also mentioned that he knew Davidson, surprising Barrymore while recounting their work together at the Justin Bieber Roast. At the same time, she said he was “more misguided than Bieber” and “so cute.” The 81-year-old doesn’t appear to be interested in the “SNL” alum romantically, as she stated that she sees him as her lost son when Barrymore implied otherwise.
Stewart has always dismissed the notion of any romantic involvement with Davidson, even after more speculation arose following his split from his ex Kim Kardashian. Social media photos featuring himself, the comedy star and Kardashian may have contributed to the rumours, given that he was holding hands with her for a moment.
The Blast reports that he shot down the rumors by insisting there was only a platonic relationship between them. “Pete Davidson is like the son I never had,” the octogenarian told the Daily Mail. “He’s a charming boy who’s finding his way. I’ve invited him to come on my podcast, and I can’t wait to hear what he has to say.”
