A Marxist teacher from Colorado, who calls for a “FORCED Cultural Revolution” against “Whiteness,” was voted by Democrats to fill an open state House seat on Saturday.
Tim Hernández was elected state representative for the Denver area on Saturday by the Democratic committee tasked with filling the vacant seat after the incumbent, Serena Gonzales-Gutierrez, was elected to the Denver City Council.
Hernandez worked at Aurora West Preparatory Academy in the Aurora Public School District, according to its website as of May. Their staff list has since been scrubbed, and it’s unclear if he continues to work in the Colorado district. A sign in her classroom called out “Dismantl[ing] The system is white.”
Fox News Digital previously found that Hernández insulted Marxists at a protest organized by the union.
“I want to cut some for you. Are you ready?” Hernández said.
“What I think is happening in our schools, what I think is emerging in my classroom is a lot of things that we get into ideological circles here. We like to compete who knows Marx better, who knows more about this, who Leninist. Listen, all right, I’ll give you the real deal on this s–t. The kids don’t care,” he said.

It is not enough to convey communist theory, it has to be put into practice, according to Hernández.
“Yes, it is important to know the theory. But you have to do some practice, you have to go out on the street. You have to go to your workplace. You have to go to your family. If we just sit around, talking in ideological circles, our children will still go to underfunded schools where they invest more in their failures than their successes.”
“You [communist] theory will not save you. A revolution… is about to happen in the hood. It will not be led by the one who understands Lenin best, it will not be led by the deepest Marxist. The revolution will be led by the people. … And I say all this because I am a teacher.”

Fox News Digital also investigated Hernández’s public social media, and found that the teacher called for a “FORCED cultural revolution”, particularly against American “whiteness” and “white supremacy”.
He has signaled that he is including lessons on communist theory in his classroom.
For example, to engage young children in the lens of his society, Hernandez said they should be shown the movie “A Bug’s Life” followed by a lesson about “proletarian revolution,” meaning a social revolution in which the working class tries to overthrow the bourgeoisie. .

“Many people call me a ‘unicorn.’ I am not an anomaly. I am proof of the work we still have to do; this is sacred; this is powerful; this is necessary. I told my students the truth,” he said, according to his transcript from a September 2021 Memphis rally reviewed by Fox News.
“If White people spent HALF the time they spend trying to distance themselves from their Whiteness and instead spent it actually deconstructing the system of White supremacy, where would we be?” he asked. “[S]the system of white supremacy is defended by individuals— to remove individuality from this conversation is counterproductive… I really support a Cultural Revolution where we dismantle individual and systemic White supremacy,” he said in January 2021.
“We talk about Whiteness and White supremacy. And I am ready to support any form of harassment against him and every manifestation that exists,” he said.

On another occasion, Hernández lashed out at White women: “I seriously question whether White women even remotely see how many times they harass other people in a day,” she said.Instagram/_timhernandez
“Am I denying freedom to uphold White supremacy? If so, I support the denial. And, White Supremacy is currently maintained by force. So yes, I am advocating a FORCED cultural revolution where we affirm the dignity of life for all at the expense of White supremacy.”

The phrase “Cultural Revolution” comes from the history of communist totalitarianism. China’s Cultural Revolution was a political purge and persecution of millions of suspected anti-revolutionaries masterminded by Mao, who was chairman of the People’s Republic of China from 1949 to 1976. The violent movement opposed the “Four Old Men:” Old Ideas, Old Culture, Customs Old and Old Habits and displays the destruction of cultural artifacts.
Hernández also said white people need to be subjected to re-education.
“How long do we have to wait for White people to ‘grow up’ and ‘unlearn?’ Because [to be honest]having to wait for the group in our society with the least education, the highest economic power, and the highest political capital to ‘grow’ seems like bulls–t to me,” he said on X, formerly known as Twitter.
“Eighty percent of teachers are white because the education system wants them to be,” said Hernández.Instagram/_timhernandez
On another occasion, Hernández criticized white women.
“I seriously question whether white women realize how many times they harass other people in a day,” she said.
He has also commented on the “racial dynamics of teaching,” criticizing the profession for being 80 percent white.
“Eighty percent of the teachers are white because the education system wants them to be, and… they chose to promote the oppression that their ‘equity’ department tried to do and failed to dismantle,” he said.
Hernández and the Aurora Public School District did not immediately respond to requests for comment.
