Mountain Man stars Jake Herak and Anika Ward are husband and wife. The couple tied the knot on July 2, 2022, according to The Knots in Sheridan, Montana at Clover Meadows. Guests are asked to dress casually. On their wedding website, they wrote, “
We are so excited to celebrate our special day with you all! A few notes: For those looking to camp, there will be spaces available for tents/campers/RVs on the farm. There will be NO power/water connection; however, we will provide a portable bathroom for use. If possible, please let us know in advance if you plan on it.”
They added, “Safety is definitely a priority, if you don’t plan to camp, there will be local taxis available for transportation throughout the valley.”
Introduced Jake has introduced his life partner on his social media only a few times. She shared some of her pictures on Valentine’s Day. In 2019, he posted, “Happy Valentine’s Day to this money, he puts up with a lot of things… I always go to work or hunting and he is always by my side supporting me in everything I do… thank you my love for everything you do. “
After dating for over three years, Jake proposed to Anika on his Instagram. He wrote, “when you know you just know, took a little vacation and managed to trick my beautiful girlfriend into being my fiance. I can’t thank everyone who helped me get this done enough! from watching our new baby on home to help me do this on the island, thank you all!! too many of you to name but you know who you are.”

Jake is 33 years old in 2022. He was born to John Herak and Alisa Smith. Jake has a sister named Sierra Smith, two brothers named Michael Smith and Bo Herak, and two brothers named Bo Herak. Bo, Michael’s older brother, coaches football at Twin Bridges High School, but little is known about Michael and Sierra. He attended the same school as his mother.

Jake has received instruction from renowned hunters at Gray Cliffs to further his hunting knowledge and abilities, and he is a qualified GUIDEFITTER hunting guide. Jake moved to the valley as a youngster, calling himself an “outdoor junkie” and settled at the base of the Tobacco Root Mountains in Montana. He eventually began using many Treeing Walker Coonhounds to scare away the mountain lions from the kingdom.
Jake collected a large group of dogs as a result throughout the year. But before Mountain Men Season 10, fans were worried that he had lost his two most reliable dogs (Henry and Clutch). With each winter bringing fresh and terrible challenges, Jake’s skills at running lions keep him busy.
With the Mountain Man, viewers have seen him skin deer and gather their meat (in S07 E06), go fishing and kill deer and bobcats.
