“At first, I was sad,” said the actress. Today, however, Maude doesn’t care too much about that tag, admitting that she was lucky to be born to two of Hollywood’s elite, Judd and Leslie. The actress intends to put in a lot of effort to prove herself to the public, just like other individuals who were initially labeled as nepotism babies but eventually succeeded in the acting profession.

He added, “A lot of people [in a similar position] have proven themselves over the years, so I have to go ahead and do a good job. It’s very early in my career, I don’t have much to show yet, but hopefully, one day I’ll be really proud of what I’ve done myself.”

Knowing she has a lot to prove to her detractors, Maude shares that she works even harder to make sure she lives up to those expectations. The actor also admitted that doing so has its downsides as he is overly critical of whatever he says publicly.

“I’ve always been hard on myself,” Maude admits. “Sometimes I think about it and think, ‘Why would anyone want to listen to what I have to say?’ Then I told myself, it’s not important, it’s just entertainment. I tried to clear my head of any of those thoughts.”
